this person claims the wts says that "christianity" is god's organization and that as long as a person conforms their life to the bible they don't have to be a jw to be approved by him.. they also say that the wts doesn't teach that all other religions are worshipping (giving honor) to satan.

I remember when she first started hassling you and calling into question your integrity regarding your presentation of what the WTS says "in print". Now she demands proof "in print" and when provided with it claims that it doesn't say what it says.

She complained to me about "snippets" (I'm not sure if that post was deleted) and when I responded that I didn't understand how she expected people to provide her with the "printed proof" other than "snippets" she changed course and said she didn't have a problem with them, just the way we all mischaracterized them. On the other hand, it seems that she has a problem with the posting of copyrighted material too. She wants it all ways, it seems.

I wasn't around for the last round of bannings and deletions, but I'm sorry that she hasn't let up on harrassing you. I enjoy your posts...always on the money.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit dense sometimes. Is this a new book or an old book or the re-release of an old book? I wondered about the reference to 1918, but the old geezers in NY probably think it still the 1920's so it wouldn't surprise me too much if they referenced it like it was just yesterday in newer publications.

I started a new topic where I'm posting the quotes you're providing.

I can see where the wording the WTS uses in some of the quotes is generic enough that a person who doesn't understand the buzz words might not see the ominous message. LOL

I think that summerthyme has been provided with enough information at this point to understand where we are coming from though. I don't understand why she isn't able to connect the dots since she seems to think she can look at the situation objectively.

I showed sieg the text I was using to show her their position and told him what she was getting out of and he said that her position completely contradicts what he read. He's not interested in the WTS and he has no problem pointing out when I'm being unreasonable, so I trust that it's her and not me that has a comprehension problem in this dispute.

I'm confused, emo.

I can't tell from this that the WT is talking about a group other than the "other sheep". I think they've always speculated that there may be people who haven't been exposed to the WT's message who join the ranks of the JW's at some point. Are you sure they aren't talking about current JW's and maybe some stray person here or there that joins the religion during the great trib?

Or am I reading it wrong?

Sure that's possible, probable even.

One of my problems is that summerthyme is so hot to get "proof in print" that the WTS says what it says. When she is provided with the proof she doesn't seem to read it with understanding.

I asked her to show me the "proof in print" that the WTS has changed it's extreme stance regarding other religions. Her last post said that they never did change their position because there was no need for it. In her mind they were never extreme, I guess.

I'd be interested in reading the "hint" that you speak of in the Government book. If their position has changed then summerthyme is wrong once again and speaks of things she really knows nothing about. Would it be too cumbersome to give me a "snippet" (lol) of the text you're talking about?

(((Annie))) I'm sorry you don't post over there anymore, I always enjoy your posts.

The last post I read from her she was being rather snippy about my response to her failure to provide where the WTS has retracted or disclaimed in print the extreme positions that they previous printed in some of their books. My computer started acting up and by the time I got back there with my response she'd deleted her nasty comments as well as 2 other posts.

I posted my response anyway. LOL

I can't figure out if she's just playing the devil's advocate or if adam has gotten her caught up in the "they don't really mean what they say" mind frame.

I tell ya, a person has to be screwed up in the head to continually play that game day in and day out.

I don't know what frustrates me more...the fact that she's so adamant that people are misrepresenting the WTS despite the documentation to the contrary or the knowledge that some active JW's are deliberately feeding her false information.

And don't even get me started on how the JW's who aren't actively misleading her just sit back and let her go on with her claims even though they know she's wrong.

Exactly! What she's saying doesn't make any sense in light of the WTS' mission to ~~enlarge its sales crew~~ make new converts.

At one point she was very critical of the WTS' so-called child abuse policy and in the process started coresponding privately with a guy on there who claimed to be an elder. He's one of those ~~mind fucked~~ people who get into explaining how the WTS (and the Bible) don't really mean to covey the thoughts that are being conveyed. You know, the type who's adept at using the convoluted thought process neccessary for one to remain a faithful JW.

I don't know for sure if the woman in question is deliberately "not getting it" or if she really believes what she's claiming. I do know for sure that the JW's she's conversing with do understand what the WTS teaches and are being very dishonest in the way they portray their beliefs.

If the JW's have "the truth" why are they ashamed to admit what the WTS teaches as "truth"?

This person is saying that those of us who know what we were taught are somehow misrepresenting what the WTS has said in print.

She was provided with several different quotes from Watchtowers, the United in Worship book and the Reasoning book, but she still insistst that the WTS is being misrepresented. I don't believe she is basing her thoughts on the actual quotes, since they are very clear, but rather the information she's getting from the people she talks to.

I don't have the resources here to look up every time where the WTS has printed information pertaining to the above mentioned subjects and I was hoping that some of you could provide me with more instances where they have said a person needs to be associated with them specifically and that everyone else who isn't a jw is really honoring Satan.

I still can't get wrap my head around someone telling her that the WTS says "Christianity" is the organization they're talking about when they talk about "God's organization".

*shakes head in disbelief and disgust at their dishonesty*

Who is Jesus? Is he God?

I believe that the Word of God mentioned in John is the word that God used to express His Being...saying "I AM".

That Word, because of containing all that God IS including the Spirit of God's Being, is Alive. The image of God...the perfect reflection of God.

Of course, all words have a source...and the Word recognizes subjection to the Speaker...while containing the Life that God expressed. Though being in the form of God he didn't ever think that he was in a position to take over. Instead he carried out the creative will expressed in the declaration of Being.

The Word can't be anything other than what is meant in God's expression of His Self. So the Word of God IS God.

I mean, what else would God have to talk about besides His own Self when nothing else existed?

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God."

Very simple, IMO. It's people who make it complicated and have complicated it even more by calling other things, like the Bible, the word of God.

The Word is God's expression of Being. "I AM".

So all that means is that they've been heading down the slippery slope for awhile now. I'm inclined to think it's beens since their inception...but I digress.

So they promote the wild beast so they can bring it back around to the kingdom...yea...I get it. NOT.

The blurbs in WTW don't have anything to do with promoting the kingdom, but they still fulfilled part of the obligation to promote other UN associated NGO's. They promoted the UN and it's associated NGO's just like they promised.

Tell me thirdwitness. How does Babylon the Great ride the back of the wildbeast if not as UN associated NGO's? How does religion become a part of the UN if not through NGO association?

Please don't go off into how in the early 1900's some religious leaders said that the UN was the political expression of god's kingdom on earth. I want to know how they go about getting a ride.
