DJ, I know exactly what you're saying. I've expressed that I feel like I was handed over to Satan for a time because I lacked faith. I had to learn to put my trust in Christ's love and not men.

I totally agree that the WTS fits the description of the locust well. If that's what they want to be let 'em have at it. Locusts don't live very long. Too bad for the unsuspecting JW's though.

Evil Slave Class - Where can I enroll?

being disassociated carries with it many rewards - not being invited to the in-laws, not having bible bashers assaulting my privacy (but sometimes i do wish they would call to share some wholesome fellowship.

presently i am working on my apostate skills and feel that i am making some progress, but i do recall how much the brothers dreaded those persons reputedly of the (shudder) 'evil slave class'.

i haven't seen any mention of them on the board and wonder whether they still exist, and if they still manage to icite fear and trepidation in the joeys.. if so..... then i want to enlist - it must be the ultimate in achievement.. cheeses (of the evil slave class).

I'm so sorry about you not getting to know your great grandmom, tina. Who's doing the beating here? It sounds like the WTS and it's flock are the guilty party, not the other way around.

Off topic for a minute...I couldn't figure out the "holy cheeses king of the juice" name for the life of me. Then the other day I read the post that explained it. Duh! I think I need to stand on a ladder so's stuff like that doesn't keep flying over my head.

Tough indeed. I spent years not even looking at the Bible because everytime I did I found more and more that witnessed against the witnesses. I didn't want to judge them even though I realized they were waaaaaaay off base. I guess I thought Jehovah would fix it eventually. Thank God for the internet and the fine people here. Who knows how long I'd have remained in that inbetween netherworld?

I think I'm pretty good at grasping concepts and academically have always been above average. On the other hand, as per my dad, I've always had a lack of common sense. I do think I've gotten better in that area after making many foolish mistakes and learning from them.

Still, I act a fool from time to time, deliberately or not.

A friend of mine from S. Africa named Phakade sent my daughter a book called "Fly Eagle Fly" that tells that story.

I think it is a story about the effects and utimate victory over apartheid (sp?).

some were very close to what is true; others, pure speculation.

All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence by means of him was life, and the life was the light of men.

So does that mean some of you believe the Bible brought all things into existence?

now, the war is over, the weapons were not used and of course have not been found.. how threatening could they be if they did not even use them when being invaded by a massive force (of the countries they hate)?!

perhaps, as many suspect, they didn't use them because they didn't have them?.

now we're being told that we'll have to be patient and give them time to find them.
