  jesus always used illustrations to help people reason on the import of what he was saying.

  here is an illustration followed by a reality;.

  imagine that your heart went out to all those poor people who suffered when fukushima blew up, so much so, that when an internationally renowned charity asked for donations to help those in need, you donated $5000 to the cause.

  Yes they do not have faith in the morality of their own members. I tend to share your viewpoint on this and other matters. One thing however, if the homeowner was a good person, and they put it all togehter, would they ever REALLY donate to anything other than the WWW? I mean, do you know JW's who have given money to charities run by secular organizations or (gulp), religious institutions?

  I think no matter what money would go back to the branch. I didn't realize much of the building material was donated by other groups. I wonder if they knew it only went to JW's or if they even cared.

  Its amazing how the branch will "take advantage of Satans system of things" whenever they get the chance.

  Yes Chaserious they do. For suggesting that anything short of going to the police was irresponsible and wreckless, I was "unfriended" on facebook,a nd he deleted his FB account. No doubt he is aware of the dangers the internet can bring.

  Dude was mid 30's, married to a nice girl, friends with people I respect, not a dummy.......but man when you hand over your ability to think to fear, you just lose so much.

  i'am not a jw but when i came across this short vid my jaw was on the floor.

  how can some body get away with such blatant lies and deception was beond me at the time, now i know differently.

  So since the tablets don't neccesarily have anything to do with the chronology, the society is basically stating 607 in there to make it SEEM as though they are related?

  recently i had someone contact me on facebook, thanking me for helping her awaken from indoctrination.. i am always interested in finding out the mechanisms behind people "awakening," so i asked her what i had done to make a difference.

  it turned out i had left a complimentary remark on one of her youtube videos (she was singing a kingdom song) and she learned ttatt after clicking on my name and seeing the so-called apostate videos on my channel.. i don't think it was any of my own videos she ended up watching - from what she described it sounded like someone else's video that i had "liked.

  " nonetheless, it was enough for her to become inquisitive and start exploring, and before she knew it she was free from mind control.. the moral of the story?

  I can't pinpoint when I "learned". I think I knew and was in denial. i still don't know if I had an ahha moment. But I felt the following almost in order.

  Anger/frustration - Nobody would listen

  Panic - My whole world will change and what if i'm wrong.

  Helplessness - My family is hostage, my friends I will lose, and there is nothing I can do to change the religion.

  Betrayal - I gave them the best years of my life blah blah blah

  Personal responsibility - I am ultimately always in charge of myself. I can't make anyone else do anything. What matters most is my integrity, living an authentic life, and my family.

  Confusion - What now?

  I am currently in a mix between the bottom 2.

  Here is the point. The "ex" community as well as those in and leaving and fading and been gone for decades......is fractioned. So dare I say it....there needs to be some "organization", that leads the charge. I am sure it can evolve, but having a point of start where there can be cooperation and common theme is very important. Especially in getting the message out to the public first, and JW's that will listen second.

  I had a conversation with someone who is active and serving about this case. They have children as well. I asked the why anything other than a report to the police was acceptable. They literally said they preferred to defer to the society, and that they wouldn't want to go to the police and "open that can of worms...and that anyways the slaves direction should be enough for me."

  oh how i wish i could just write out something that would cause you all to know and understand that what i say is true.

  or i wish i could tell yall that i am going to do something like cause an earthquake (with jehovahs spirit backing me) at a certain place and time, then after i posted such info then it occurred just as i said...then maybe you would listen and believe what i say.. .

  and even more so, your lack of knowledge and belief in jehovah and in his word the bible.

  You are speaking loud but not saying anything. You are opposed to AAWA, but also opposed to the society. So here is a thought, not everything is what we think it should be. AAWA will accomplish good, and pools resources for a fractioned community of ex-jw's. MANY of us cannot "come out" as it were, because of the stranglehold this religion has on family and fiends.

  If you have not been in that situation, you really can't say anything about it. Period. Were you at one time a JW? Why overly focused on things you cannot predict and don't belong to you to understand? (WW3 because N Korea is having a temper tantrum?)

  Why not concisely say what you think, or better yet, present some research you think would be helpful to the cause.

  Old enough to reason. My favorite parts are when he says "we've never said that", like its some great revelation he is explaining that he gets to be in charge of.

  My other favorite part is after the driverse license analogy, he says we don't force it, but then says but don't you accept "any of that buisness".

  This guys arrogance just spills out of him.
