Well done. I think the lynchpin in reasoning using the western text type, is wether the society has choosen to try to debunk it. Ha!
Is there any material at all the refferences or perhaps even uses it in the society publications? That would automatically lend credit to their use, and could be quite damning.

China's Dying Villages and the Problem of Land Use

it is not typical of all the problems causing urbanisation in china, but does illustrate some.. the village is dacan ancient village, located in yuxian, in north china's shanxi province.
it is surrounded by mountains.

Well done. I do not beliee there is any way to save these villages. Perhaps if they exist as tourist attractions, or are taken on by the state as heritage sites. Beyond that however, people need to make a living. Same is happening in the USA, albeit to a lesser extent.

I was disfellowshipped when I was 18 (18 years ago), and it was clearly conveyed to me that I better be reinstated before jehovah came. This was from a mature elder.
I was reinstated in less than 5 months.

there is a portion to check if the injured person was an elder, pioneer, ms, etc.... .
why does this matter?

we were on the subject of new light, i was saying that if the org changes a teaching then the old teaching was wrong and cannot qualify as truth at the time it was taught, so where did the falsehood come from?.

Also.....I would ask him what "spirit directed" means and if he has a biblical example. Closely watch the example, and what must be true according to his analogy. There are no biblical precidents for today, because there are no seen miracles or proof of appointment. In addition, the GB selects its own members, in an unknown unseen way. How do we know any of these guys were subsaquently appointed, without divine intervention (which they admit), and since 1919 when the first "board of directors" was made the faithful and discreet slave. It sounds like apostolic succesion of a sort.
