Thinking of taking a break from this forum

starting to feel my time is wasted on here lately and its time to move on.. some of the best, meaty stuff only gets a few hundreds views and as soon as the posts dry up a bit the thread is soon forgotten (usually in a few days) under the constantly falling snowflakes of new threads (many trival) continuously being created and popping up as 'active topics'.

the same core jw related subjects then keep reappearing over and over again as new threads without getting a thorough treatment at the time (eg, there must be at least one 'are jw's a cult' thread started each week on here; 'new light' topics get about 20 new threads started with the quality of analysis spread and diluted over all of them.).

anyone else tend to feel the same way at times?.

Let's be honest y'all... If your thread is really that important it will be searched and commented on for many years coming. It doesn't matter if your pride gets hurt by not getting all the comments and views you feel your thread is worth getting.

I've used the search function for than I can remember to find topics not recently posted or discussed. If your thread is meaningful to help and aid those who are truly wanting to know TTAT and get help on other things, be sure your thread (if truly meaningful and helpful) will aid others in their search for freedom or whatever else they are looking to attain.

I for one appreciate all the many topics and threads, even if repeated. You never know what difference you'll make on others, a lot of you guys have helped me more than you can imagine.

I’m very sad, upset and disappointed all at the same time. Why couldn’t I just stay away from this dam forum and live my life and blindly dedicated it to the borg. Now I know TTATT, I can’t ignore all the facts and all the stories of the great people in this forum. Hence my sign on name: maybeso. Maybe you all are right, maybe you are not, maybe some of you were treated unfairly, maybe you had a lot to do with it, maybe the witnesses are no longer chosen by God anymore, maybe God hates every time we call him Jehovah, I know I hate when my name is not pronounced correctly. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe……

What do I do now? Do I tell my wife about everything I’ve found out thanks to a lot of you? Do I just ignore everything and live a happy blinded life? Or, do I fade and come up with a story on why I’m fading? What to do? What to do?

Anyways, just wanted to vent a little, no need to respond J but thank you for your well-meant words and encouragement. I’m just feeling a little lost right now and I’m thinking very hard what to do next. I’ll keep you guys posted on what I do next.

Another thing to consider....Debit card machines incurr monthly fees from the banks. Who is paying for this? If someone donates $10, they are being misled. Their $10 is not going to be fully invested in the borg and its publishing company. 2-10% will go to the banks, the other "6" of the "666". So... are we being part of the "666" by contributing to their banks via this arrangement at the conventions?

I have decided to not make contributions anymore, I'll keep my $10 and buy a six pack instead

Why do witnesses need the title of pioneer to get 30 hours?

if witnesses believe that we truly are in the end of the end of the last days, and they believe the work they do will really save lives, and most can just make a few adjustments and get 30 hours, why dont they do this more often??

to me if you really care about people you would not wait until you have a special title or badge to wear of look at me im pioneering, you would do the most you can every month and not care about recognition from men.

You are right on. That's what I've raised before, why the need for all these special titles? Why can't we just simply eliminate these special titles they give to these people? Elders? Pioneers? Special Pioneers? COs? How about instead we call them slaves? That's what Jesus said, we were slaves not masters. He even told us he came to serve, not to be served.

Wait... but then these little self proclaimed spiritual brothers and sisters would add adjectives to their slave title, slave class I, slave class II, and so on.

Most of the people I know that are MS or elders or pioneers are in it for the recognition. Not to serve and try to really help people, they are helping their already low self steem and love the glorification they receive from others. But nothing will change, on the contrary, they'll keep coming up with other titles to incentive people to try and "grow" within the organization.
