  When did the Watch Tower society start posting on You tube?

  Hired Guns Investigative Reporting

  i was looking at this cnn investigavite reporting and found some similiarities between these security guards and the appointed elders.

  let me know if you can see the similarities betweent the two.. .

  "men and women who have never fired a gun in their lives can set off on patrol in uniform, wearing a badge and carrying a loaded weapon, with only a few hours of training, if any.

  I was looking at this CNN investigavite reporting and found some similiarities between these security guards and the appointed elders. Let me know if you can see the similarities betweent the two.

  "Men and women who have never fired a gun in their lives can set off on patrol in uniform, wearing a badge and carrying a loaded weapon, with only a few hours of training, if any. In 15 states, guards can openly carry guns on the job without any firearms training at all.

  The results can be as tragic as they are predictable."

  " Armed security guards have become a ubiquitous presence in modern life, projecting an image of safety amid public fears of mass shootings and terrorism. But often, it's the guards themselves who pose the threat"

  ”Time after time, we have found armed security guards who should have never been put in the positions they were in. And when an event ensued, crisis followed.”

  In fact, change "armed guards" to "elders" and you'll see how they both relate.

  Shipping items to the Philippines. Does anyone have experience shipping to other countries?

  i live in the usa and want to ship my game consoles (xbox, playstation, wi, ect), laptop, and other items to my wife's family in the philippines.

  i've used a company locally that ships there at a fix price of $90 per box.

  so whatever i fit in the box will ship at that rate regardless of weight.

  I don't think it's an offical video channel. It may be some JW trying to go above and beyond, violating the instruction not to make recordings for public use that is.

  Elder Appointments

  doing some research as to what qualifications someone needs to meet to become an elder, i came up with one conclusion: it's who you know and is very subjective.. funny thing is too, if you searc the wt online library there are not recent articles that describe and outline the requirements.

  which makes me think that there were too many requirements and as we all know, it is based now on how close you are with the current co and not necessarily on being a model jw in the congo.

  so the borg decided to leave it up all to the co and not tell the rest what to look for on these appointed men.. you could do your hours, be early to the meetings, be prepared, keep your car and house clean, family in good reputation, etc but if you are in the circle then you can forget it.

  DATA-DOG you are right, there is a huge disconnect between "visible" and "tangible" and the appearance of being "spiritual".

  If you really look into it, almost no one that I know would qualify for an elder for the exception of a couple. I guess it comes down to who you know, how good can you fake it, now it comes to play if you are tight with the CO and can you keep up with the appearances of being "spiritual".

  Hey wait a minute, I do qualify to be an elder then!... but no thank you.

  Just Kidding-I actually did hear an elder say that he doesn't like to go when the group meets in the week because there is hardly any support. No one would see that he is there so he'd rather go when the whole congregations meets.
