Run on sentences, oh give me a break! I am so sick of hearing them!
Some people think if they talk long enough (or loud enough) that it makes them right! Just because you don't answer doesn't make you wrong either!
machislop posted a quote from a watchtower on a thread that went something like this:.
"....c. t. russell was patently of that governing body back there in the last quarter of the nineteenth century.".
excuse me, but the expression "back there" makes the governing body sound like a bunch of backwood hicks.

what the head makes cloudy the heart makes very clear.. we judge ourselves by our intentions; others judge us by our actions
I really did enjoy field service. I was never a person who put my foot in the door or spouted sermons. I was like Guest, I enjoyed going out to meet people. I viewed it as making friends with those that lived near me. I always had a good time.
here is a response from a dub whom i emailed the press link from the courier journal yesterday (i will be meeting with him in a couple weeks, so any comments/rebuttals from you would be greatly appreciated):.
"wasn't dateline successfully sued by gm for their doctored report on the (as.
dateline called it the exploding gm pick-up truck controversy) fuel tank.
I think it is not rational to allow a known pedophile to go to another congregation without alerting them. They write those letters of recommendation (in secret that you don't get to read) and leave that out????
They allow pedophiles to go to the doors of families with small children? They go to assemblies and conventions with many children? There should be some way to keep an eye on these men!
does god work through an organization?.
the question seems silly to me now, but not that long ago, as i stood dazed and confused on the edge of the watchtower, wondering if i should jump, would i survive, and where i would jump to, it was crucial to me.. thirty six years of jw brainwashing told me that god just *has* to have an organization.
my thirty six year old gut was telling me that god doesn't *have* to have or do anything.. this bit of writing by a former bethel elder helped set my mind at ease: http://www.caic.org.au/jws/organization/godorg1.htm.
Now darn you, Six, I told you not to post my picture. I wanted to remain anonymous! I guess its ok, though, that pic is before I cut my hair.
sorry, i didn't mean to start a new thread, but i started a new post by mistake, so here it is anyway.
this is my comment to cello.
sorry folks.. cello,.
I think that it would be better to fall in love with a friend, that way when the going gets tough, you have your friend, someone you trust to help you two get thru it. Then the passion can either still be there or even if it has lessened, the love is still there, the trust, then as you grow, your love is deeper.
i found this on .

since it is monday, anyone care to add their goals to the list?
I think this list sucks too!!
I just can't stop thinking about the fact that JW's do things the WT tells them and they no longer make decisions based on the bible but by what the elders and WT say.
Now I know what those "apostate" signs meant when they said "Read the Bible NOT the WT."
And excuse me, but just how do they know that Jehovah is their pilot?? I think its better they use the illustration and put the GB in the pilot seat because as we know they make decisions according to what they think the bible says or by what the Legal Department lets them say....oops can't make that big a change yet, too many lawsuits, bros!
a while back, i got an email a parable about how caterpillars turn, through struggle, into butterflies.
supposedly, the point of parable is that the struggles humans commonly suffer and endure are good for us -- in the end, we benefit.
if youve never read it, here it is:one day a small opening appeared on a cocoon, a man sat .
I am sorry, have none of you seen my photo?
since i have an slr camera, i thought i would try to catch up on the rest of the world and purchase a digital camera.
i must buy one in the next few days....i leave for an alaskan curise on friday.
myself and my husband need to figure out how to work it and see the pics on the kickass computer we have.
You can set the resolution to a lower one so it will have more storage space, ie if you are going to just want to develop your pics in a small size. But say you KNOW you want a nice portrait of your dog or child or whatever, then you use lots of resolution which will take up lots of memory.

I'd go to http://www.sonystyle.com to do your research. They have a comparison of their sony product.
But make sure you stick to at least 3 megapixels, then the quality of the photo can even be made into good quality 5x7 and 8x10s if you want. Sony's memory stick is a great feature and I think they are the only ones that do that.
Also I like to make sure it has the display so you can see the photo that you take after you shoot the photo.
i just found this to be a bit amusing.
i was scrolling through the elders handbook.
hehe well it was there!.
Be a humble slave of your fellow Christians, not 'lording
it over them.'
If they really followed that it would be better because now its "do as I say, not as I do."
And along with their "fooler-ers" (aka followers), they quote "well elder so and so said......"
