You still have not proved your point.

All you have proved is that there are alot of people/groups in the world that go to extremes to further their respective causes. And that they manage to do this in places you don't expect.

What your pessimism about the world has shown is that you forget to look at what the MAJORITY of the world is doing to stop those extremists.

So, you are saying that there are bad people out there, that manage to cover up thier agendas... wow, how earth shattering!

I am not at all surprised by this, no more so that I was not shocked to learn that the pilots of the hijacked jets were trained in america, and that our own agencies "missed" the clues.

So, what do you intend to do about it?

I have not "attacked anything", I am fully aware of how the world works.

Difference? I take responsibility for my actions, and attempt to better the world around me. I expect others to do the same.

I do not blame the worlds problems on an "unseen evil spirit", nor do I wait on an "unseen good spirit" to fix things. I take it as my responsibility to do everything I can do to help solve the problems.

Is what is there "possible"? Certainly, but my instincts tell me otherwise.

datelines presentation of the watchtowers child abuse issue was a case study in the black art of media propaganda.. from the very beginning of the presentation dateline was intent on giving the public a negative impression of jehovahs witnesses by portraying us all as oddball crackpots whose religion revolves around the doctrine that we dont celebrate birthdays and that all non-believers are possessed by the devil and that we want them all to die.

Apostates aren't concerned about stopping abuse within the organization. What an absurd notion. Besides, we don't need their "help." Apostate Dubs are merely interested in publicizing the abuse in order to posion the public's mind which is their whole intent. Apostates will use any sort of issue, like the UN/NGO affair or whatever suits them in order to stumble as many as possible. You are extremely naive.

Who are you to say that "apostates are not interested in stopping the abuse" ?? If the abuse did not exist, (or more correctly the WTBS's handleing of the abuse) then this issue would not have been raised.

IF (and this is a big if) the WTBS was "beyond reproach" then this issue would not have been raised. Fact is, the WTBS is no better than any other "man made organization".

Beyond that,

The "apostates" didn't create the issues, However they may "expose" them.

There is a difference.

The WTBS's "holier than though" attitude brings about it's own reproach.

Was it "apostates" that brought forth the Catholic Church's issue? Or do you support that one?

Since I "missed it" before, maybe you can restate your proof?

Obviously, since we are not in any "major" wars at this time, mankinds desire for peace is more powerful.

Yes, there will be hotspots and difficulties.

Yes, it is even possible that Pakistan and India may go at it.

If they do, will it cause problems elsewhere? Certainly.

Will we move forward? Absolutely.

You do not have to have been abused to work to stop abuse.

I was never abused, but I certainly have a "grievance" against ANYONE that abuses children (or adults for that matter), and even more of a grievance against those that PROTECT the abusers.

Is he working "behind the scenes with silentLambs"? or with Dateline?

What did he provide Dateline that "furthered his agenda", other than proof that the allegations about the coverup of the abuse were true? (I do not know if he did or did not provide anything to dateline)

Again, prove your allegation, you still have not done this.

AF's comments basically verify the point of my post regarding the fact that apostate JW's, who have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Silent Lambs, are involved behind the scenes with Dateline producers, further exploiting the victims of sexual abuse in order to further their own personal anti-Watchtower agendas. / You Know

Jehovah's Witnesses' respectfully declined when Dateline NBC recently asked them to participate on camera for a live interview. Although cooperating with the producer wherever possible, such as in supplying documents, videotaped statements and samples of their publications, they politely refused this offer.(pdf version)

Thier reasoning, (paraphrased)

The people on the show were not considered "adveseries" since they still considered themselves to be Jehovah's Witnesses, and they wanted to settle the matter internally (ie not in a public forum).

That letter is also very telling to those that are now being told they people on the show are "evil apostates".... As I understand it, the show was "in the can" months ago, so the stories are not from an apostates point of view.

My only comment on the Dateline story is about the final comment, I really wished he would have expanded on his comment that the folks faced DF for coming forward. (that was not left clear enough for me).
