".........The parable of the wheat and the weeds foretold that there would be a long period of growth of weeds in with the wheat............." unquote.i think that they have had several goes at explaining that parable, and always find that a bit ..."sticks out".
consult the index ****(or the cd- i see being referred to) and you can trace the see-saw of ideas by the GB....
**** i don't have one anymore - my partner threw it out. he hates me keeping any of the literature..curiously, he also studied with jws when he lived in sg (b4 we met).. and says he did not get 'sucked in'. he thinx i must be brainweak to have spent so long in their grasp!!!!!!

JWs Could Never Steal This Feeling
by DakotaRed ini have stated in other posts that i am a vietnam veteran.
when studying, i was told how "stupid" i was for going off to that war long ago.
even though i was often made to feel less a person because of my military service, i still was baptized and eventually, saw the light and left the borg.. i also belong to a yahoo message group comprised of fellow veterans that i served with long ago.

another thing!!! about the vietnam war...
one of the really nice things that can be seen today - is that some american and australian veterans, have been back to vietnam, have met the men they fought with and developed friendships with each other...
in some cases australian and american ex-soldiers have sponsored projects of different types in vietnam..
sure, i know that in the overall scheme of things, it is not a veri big deal, but! it is nice to see..
and they didn't do it because of same brain f***ed idea that they do it for god... they did it because they came to appreciate their common humanity!!!

the "christian" neutrality of the jws and the wts is only relative....
when they get trouble in some other countries, they ask the US government to help them.....
the WT has printed anti-communist articles, which while correct in substance, are certainly NOT neutral, as far as the affairs of the world are concerned. ****
it may be rationalised as neccessary to advance "kingdom" interests, but begs the question... where are the limits of "christian neutrality "..??????
guess, the answer is..wherever the old men decide to put it!!!!!!
**** and i think those articles were the result of a 'deal' between knorr and the state dept..
neutral????? really!!!!!!

1. is it within the power of an imaginary "god" to bring world peace? it's all 'promises, promises' !!!!!
2.joshua is one of the worlds first genocide 'criminals'!! today, i hope, that he would be hauled off to face an international court, and a long term of imprisonment..
3. if we want to live in a peaceful world, we have to do it ourselves... not sit on our arse, waiting for this imaginary sky god to get off his arse and act!!!!!!

hmmmmm! and regarding the single most imprtant subject for most people...
nothing under sex, homosexual or oral sex...
but under self abuse......
self-abuse
Although the term at face value can mean almost any kind of self-inflicted negative behavior, e.g., stabbing oneself with pins and needles, it is usually used as a euphemism for masturbation. Because masturbation is universally considered one of the most acutely embarrassing subjects of conversation, many substitute terms have arisen to describe it, most of them tasteless, and many of them obscene.
The term self-abuse was used consistently in the Society's literature for many years. This word has a strongly judgmental flavor to it. It refers not to the act itself, but to the speaker's righteous indignation toward it. In today's immoral society there are many who do not believe that masturbation is an act of abuse, and many even view it as beneficial.[171] Witnesses inclined to discuss the subject at all with worldly people, who call it self-abuse, stand the danger of sending the discussion off on a tangent, because it is no longer considered {politically correct}. Therefore, when speaking of masturbation, it is better to use the plain and unambiguous English word that has sufficed for centuries. It is significant that self-abuse has not appeared in the Society's publications since 1985, though there have been several articles that deal with masturbation.[171] In 1994 the Surgeon General of the USA was fired for publicly recommending that masturbation be taught in schools as a part of sex education classes.
jws are so 'insightful'!!!!!!!

religion, esp the WT variety, cannot live in an atmosphere of free information flow.....
control the information flow and you control most people... lose control and you have lost the people!!!!!
