  anyone here have psychic ability? no fakers please, need real advice,,

  seen some real "different" threads here lately, out of body experiences, near death experiences, ext.

  and it got me thinking that we have a lot of people here that have a lot of unusaul skills and talents that arent typically talked about.

  in light of this, i want to talk to someone that has real power to foretell the future.

  I use divination - sometimes.

  I am not a faker or a bullshitter (thanks Derek).

  Any type of divination can only provide ADVICE and an INSIGHT into a situation. It is always the person's CHOICE at the end of the day and nothing is ever set in stone.

  I believe in the collective unconscious and that using certain types of divinatory methods allow us to tap into our own psyche in such a way that we get insight into what we are making of, and how we are influencing, our own future.

  So in your situation, I would say first and foremost don't rely on divination or psychics (that isn't what they are there for), but if you do get psychic advice, always make your own choice after considering the advice and options. Sometimes the advice might just spark a different way of looking at the situation or it might remind you of an outstanding issue which is pertinent.

  Your thoughts on Wicca?

  somebody who's become a friend is an ex catholic....pretty knowledgeable on all the mainstream christian doctrines and history etc....now into wicca beliefs....not a actual member, but in tune with the ideas....mediation, incense, being close to the earth yada yada.

  not real wound up with it, not pushing it on me.....and theres no way i would ever go there.....just not my style, and think i am over any organized religion at this point.. a good friend, good person.....he cant really explain why he's into all that except it feels good....but i'm a little uncomfortable.....sad to say i think it's a holdover from the jw fear and loathing of anything remotely "demonic"......i'm a good researcher, and in 15-20 minutes on the internet i know i could dig up all the lowdown on wicca beliefs/practices/history etc.....and i know without looking it up that its all just a made-up job like so many other groups we know.....but i hold back because i'm afraid if i knew more i'd feel really uncomfortable with my friend.....i know, i know that's so lame....lol.

  just wondering if any of you have any experience with the wicca thing, and what you think about all that.

  I trained with a Wiccan coven for the traditional year, then I joined it officially and practised with it for about 3 years.

  Now I don't think of myself as "Wiccan" because my beliefs have subsequently developed into other areas, but I am Neo-Pagan (a general term for anyone who is part of a pagan belief system).

  First point: ALL RELIGIONS ARE MADE UP. and yes, Wicca is a modern faith which has been mashed together from older stuff.

  Second point: It doesn't matter that they are "made up" because they reflect the human psyche and the human impressions of the divine. In Wicca and paganism in general, mythology is accepted to be mythology, but it is given value for the messages which the myths convey. Also these myths have an effect on us psychologically and spiritually - hence many pagan groups reenact myths in ritual. Ritual itself is designed to influence a person's psyche.

  Third point: Some people find a nature based spirituality feels better for them. They are no more accurate and they don't "know more" than other religions.

  Now to clarify: Wicca is not evil and doesn't acknowledge a Satan figure. The dark symbology which is sometimes used by Wiccans simply reflects a BALANCE. Death is seen as natural and is a *part of* spirituality. Samhain ceremonies (halloween time) are very dark in their use of symbols, but you will see the exact opposite at Beltain (may festival) when all symbols are light and beautiful.

  Don't forget, Wicca is just one of the neo-pagan religions. Check out www.witchvox.com for information on thousands of pagan paths.

  I just came from my elder's meeting

  just to review, i had my meeting today with the two elders who say a sister has accused me of "grinding" with her and thus porneia.

  so i printed out several of your comments on how to defend myself.

  i felt good about standing my ground, and repeating that i had not "grinded" with this ex-friend and that she wants to ruin the relationship i have now with the sister i am dating.. however, the two elders today really tried to pressure me.

  anyway, i've gotten back to my previous life of indulging myself into books that you can't put down.

  little children by tom perrotta.. excellently portrayed 2 unhappily married suburbans who's repetitive wrong choices impact a their dull lives, yet alter your own moral thinking of them being heroic in their quest to find happiness with a self imprisoned/trapped marriage they each lead.

  my english neighbor (arrived here from essex, is there really such a place?

  ) always makes those comments about our kids, our car, and so on even made fun out of me when i told him we used to be witnesses.

  Its definately british male humour to "take the mick" out of other men.

  Believe me when I tell you that some british men use this ALL the time when they interact with other men. They look for something they can mention which is kind of a "dig" and the idea is that you give it straight back to him. He is probably wondering why you don't return the banter!

  Between good friends it can go like this:

  "Hows it going, small cock?"

  "Good, limp wrist"

  (both laugh)

  "What was <insert football players name> thinking? What a knob head"

  "I know, I mean he was offside every five seconds"

  Then gets serious...

  "Hey I had to leave that job today... redundancy looking for a new one now...again"

  "Oh mate, thats crap. What you gonna do, go back to stripping?" (laughs)

  So you see....they kind of take the mick out of each other and both understand that the other one doesn't mean it.

  The only other explanation is that the guy is genuinely nasty and jealous of what you have. But I suppose thats up to you to judge. One thing you can be sure of, he isn't trying to "run things" he probably is just insecure.

  I have been out of my body as a child...and as an adult (but far less frequently)

  Its interesting to try and experiment by going and looking at certain things whilst out of your body, then going to check if you were right or not.

  Dealing with my girlfriend's family.

  i've been with my girlfriend for about 4 months and she has a big family who are always around.

  they are nice people, and i get along with them fine.

  they now want to meet my family and have even given an ultimatum that if they don't meet a family member within a month, they'll 'make' her break up with me.

  In my opinion they are totally out of order. You've only been seeing her for four months!!! Also if she allows them to split up the relationship, she isn't worth it. What I mean is, is she a woman or a child?

  If you allow them to dictate things to you like this, if you do stay with her, you will always be under their control.

  I would give them information about yourself but they should not be laying down the rules and if your girlfriend likes it then this reveals something about her...
