if the borg don't have the truth....who does?.
a question i've been pondering since learning of the deceiptfull ways of the borg.
once one has the "knowledge" of good and bad, as it were, that the borg are/have lied to its followers, been deceiptfull, misused others quotations to suit thier purpose, and misapplied them, as so very well brought to us by maximus{which by the way, max, have you posted your story anywhere on the forum?
I think scientific inquiry is the path to truth. ie: question everything. Question what you "know" to be true. Question it from another's perspective. When it has stood up to all this tremendous skepticism and questioning, it might be true--you may indeed have found truth.
If you ever get to that point, remind yourself of the words posted by Ginny. Find another perspective to question from.

does anyone know what andrea yates religion is?.
she is the woman who drown her 5 children just recently.. on good morning america today the qestion was asked if it was thought that her restrictive religion .
and her homeschooling added to the stress and depression she was in.
She wasn't a JW.
When I first heard the story, and got the details of, 5 kids at a relatively young age combined with homeschooling, I thought, "religion had something to do with this". The more I hear about it, the more I am sure it did.
with regard to another thread ("a report you may be interested in") and the thought that the society may be looking to eliminate the obligation for members of the governing body to be of the anointed class (wow, now there's a fred franz-style sentence...lol), here are some quotes that touch on this issue.

I remember always being reminded (by myself), of what an ingrate I must be, since I didn't really get any deep emotional "warmies" contemplating the ransom sacrifice. I would become especially aware of this a memorial time. So, I set out to really try and muster up some emotion- - to really get down and meditate on it all.
Couldn't do it. Any way you slice it, God's son was to be raised from the dead in 3 days time. It isa hard lot to have gone through, physically speaking, but unfortunate bastards on this earth go thru that much and more every day on this planet. Innocent children spend their first few days suffering, and then die. Their parents never know when or if they will ever see them again.

I've met one victim that I know of. I do not directly know the molester, but know of him via the victim and others who are aware of the situation.
