If 1914 is wrong then how is it that it was such a landmark year?
by awakening inthis is the question that came up in my mind.
now dont get me wrong i know the dates from 607 - 1914 are rubbish, but how would you explain to a witness when they will automatically say, look at the momentus year 1914 was.
that is evidence enough that 607 is correct!.

They also use bible dates. As when one died or was born to get timelines. The problem is you would have to assume every date is a whole year. Meaning Everyone one was born and lived in 12 month increments. The bible doesn't say so and so died at 70 years three months and seven days so it is impossible to come to any exact year using bible chronology. Which the watchtowers says it uses to come to 1914.

Awaking look up 606 b.c.e that was the true date held by jws until the 40s when they found out whoops there is no zero year and simple moved Jerusalems destruction to 607 so 1914 date still held true. Add 606 plus 1914 you get 2520 dumb asses didnt know our calendar went from 1bce to 1ad. People have written whole articles on this.

James 1:27 says "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you". I have yet to see the Watchtower ever ever give to orphans and widows. I guess this scripture is skipped.

A personal friend of mine when I was still in, that was a true JW believer went outside and got his paper naked. Well the neighbor called the cops. The elders wrote letters to the judge about him being a fine christian man and he talked about his faith in court. I guess the judge didn't buy into it cause he went to jail for 30 days.

this uber-jw 'friend' has engaged me in debate, each time cutting and pasting a whole bunch of wt quotes on whatever our topic is, and i've responded with scriptures and she could only answer with another wt quote, and now today i see she's unfriended me!
all her comments are gone too.

Sorry to post again but new idea. Why not post old lite like you dont know that it changed and be a uber jw. Quote the old watchtowers about the literal heart being able think then go on and on about how great and wise the gb is and see if someone corrects you. Then you can apologize on fb for being wrong but then it's all out their for them to see.

Your post got me thinking. Why not post watchtowers with no comment like 8-15-68 and maybe the one on this generation will by no means pass away 5-1-1984 ! As long as you stand firm and don't make any comments how could anyone council you for posting watchtowers? I wish I was still a jw I would be posting on Facebook right now old watchtowers if any one asks you could just say things like "I was encouraged by this watchtower article" and just that don't say anything else. What do you guys think?
