  What Bomb Will Be Dropped at This Years District Convention?

  there are a great many fine posts here - and some from 8 years back - detailing how apathetic and perfunctory the organization has become.. and yet, it still stands, doesn't it?.

  is there any point to be reached in this apparent 'experiment in sociology' in which they wake up and say 'screw this?

  ' if they crammed 10 congregations into one hall and stole the money, would any witnesses wake up?

  It will but most likely not for decades. Slavery ended, the Catholic Church strangle hold on Christianity Ended. It will most likely go mainstream or start declining until it is a small fanatic group fractionalized .

  How often do you see the Witnesses out on the ministry?

  i only ask because i hardly ever see them out on the ministry.

  it is a very rare sighting to spot them actively engaged in the house to house ministry.

  or out on the street work, in the marketplace, etc.. the other reason i ask is because they are constantly pictured as being on the preaching work.

  This a life saving work. thats why they go door to door on Mondays about 9:30 am when 99 percent of me and my neighbors are at work. Only have come to my home once when I was home and after destroying their blood doctrine they literally ran from my door. As they were fast walking away I yelled out I would pray for them. I was pissed wanted to be a return visit.

  apparently a loyal jw put it together as a kind of "video tour" to show their friends, etc.

  i don't know what's worse, the creepy music (is this what we've been hearing about?

  Governing Body and Security

  i was told that unlike christendom's pastors of mega-churches, members of the governing body don't require a security team and that you can just walk right up to them and talk to them.. is this true?.

  rutherford had many bodyguards. even when I was in they had security for bethel heavies at the convention. During talks don't they still have men placed around the stage At district conventions?

  Declining membership but building new Kingdom Hall in Stockbridge Georgia

  i hear that the stockbridge/henry county, georgia area has 30 fewer members.

  the co has asked for special "reaching out" to those who are not attending.

  at the same time, it is reported that these congregations in this area are growing fast.

  Not sure of the laws in your state but maybe after Menlo park in CA this a better way to have headquarters take control of the new properties deed and be wholly owned by the Watchtower.

  New JW Elder Instructional Video, How Many Times Was Jesus Christ Mentioned? His name?

  i counted zero, can anyone else verify the watchtower's new aid to instruct judicial matters never mentioned our lord and saviour jesus christ, the messiah?.

  or for my deist and atheist friends, did they mention the name of jesus of nazareth?

  German "JW's" just after WW2

  when i was growing up in the religion i heard a number of times that immediately after ww2 many jw's in germany left the religion.. i was told that this was, despite their courageously opposing the nazi regime, and enduring concentration camps etc, after the war , they fell prey to "materialism".. there was much shaking of heads as to how this could happen.. whilst reading an old thread the other day, i read there that these ones who left did so because they did not agree with doctrinal changes that had gone on whilst they had been cut off by the nazis and the war, "materialism" was nothing to do with it.. is this another case of watchtower revisionist "history" ?.

  does anyone know the truth about what happened at this time ?.

  Why JWs would commit murder if ordered to by the GB

  psychology class is teaching me so much.

  it's a core class, as i want to study medicine or biochemistry eventually.

  we were assigned to read about obedience.

  They are instructed to commit murder and do. Every child that is not given life saving blood is murdered. No different then not feeding your child and it dies. There actions caused the death. If I gave my child a snake to play with and it is bitten and dies can I just say I am following the bible Mark 16:18
