Aaah the glory days of watchtower power. At least I think the talk was interesting. Poor jws now have boring lifeless talks. All the charisma is gone just rules About obeying and talks about tight pants And us apostates sneaking around. I feel so sorry for modern day jws. they are like a Kirby vacuum salesman going door to door still thinking he is relevant in the modern world.

one of them knows me well, we share a lot of week-end on rbc.. my first reaction was rage and nerves.

I absolutly love when jws come to my door. two weeks ago a lady and her daughter came to my door to invite me to the memorial. I said why don't you partake of communion? She started talking about her hope of a paradise earth. I smiled and held my hand up. I said "I didn't ask you whether you are going to heaven or live on earth or even outer space I want you to show me from your bible why I should not take communion when Jesus Christ himself commanded us Christians to do so. Oh her look was priceless she said nothing mumbled something about other sheep and then said she could come back. I said no please show me from your bible. true as shit she then said I don't have one with me. I told her maybe you should start reading your bible more and less watchtowers that come from a group of men who live in a conpound in New York City And have a 100 percent failure rate. I then said you remember this generation will by no means pass away. She said we believe the lite gets brighter. I then said we'll if that's the case you are saying lying to millions of people is not a problem? Also why not just be a catholic the light will get. Brighter for them to and in a thousand years they can get all there doctrine right. She left after a gave a few more insights on false prophets. Oh how it made my day couldn't stop smiling.

When I visited the priest, he could not answer my questions, but he pulled from his shelf a book on Catholic doctrine that dealt with apostolic succession. I took it home, as he suggested, read it, and returned with more questions. Finally the priest, not being able to answer my questions, said: “I cannot convince you, and you cannot convince me. . . . I wish you the best!” He did not want to have any more discussions with me.
Didnt the same magazine say to do the exact same thing To those that ask too many questions about them. All I can say is wow.

How did you find the truth about the truth (TTATT)
by Maat13 ini am sure there has been a post about this subject, however being a recent addition to the network i don't know how to do a search.
and i'm sure new folks have joined since then.
i am really curious of how others came to know ttatt.. for me is was a real bad experience with one elder after another.

I worked with an elder and I uncovered he was embezzling money from our jw employer and it started before he was an elder. Hmmmm I thought Holy Spirit appointed this guy. i was still in but it started me to really question my beliefs. I had some doubts before when they suddly changed the king of the north AFTER the USSR colaspsed. so I was on my way. I was about 20. Then I was at the library and there on the shelf was the book Jehovahs witnesses answered verse by verse. I was scared out of my mind but checked it out and hide it in my house. Once I started reading and was lead to COC I was out and mad as hell. to give every reason would take a book.
