i had a tattoo done today.. it was actually interesting because as i was chit chatting with the tattoo artist, she asked me if this tattoo symbolized anything....well actually it does i told her.. me: i was a jw and they are strongly against tattoos or anything that is really "normal" for people.. tattoo artist: i know all about jw, my ex-girlfriend's family was all jw, and i remember one time going over to her parents house and her grandma sat us both down and made us read some scriptures from her bible as to why we were going to hell.. me: actually you will due at armageddon, that is the jw thing.. tatt artist: oh right that is what her grandma said.
i forgot about that, you're right.. so then the rest of the conversation was just me telling her it's a cult and i told her never listen to any jw who comes knocking.. something else interesting that happened just before i came on here.

Hintoflime you are correct but I have the upmost respect for Paul Grundy and he signed his name to the group. Yes the Facebook débâcle is a rookie move. Also the leaders can't be anonymous agree. I live and breath this I have lost everyone I loved at one time. Maybe I am more the type that likes offense for the cause. I have no answer for all the problems you and many others see. My goal in life my calling is to help people break free of a mind controlling cult. Hopefully all of us can come together and help our family and many others.

Let it go guys. I am proud of this group. Good people doing good. Maybe some of you weak cowards should confront your family and not hide behind avatars. If you come out like me my name is Jonas and make a real difference then talk the talk. I guess siting behind your computer here then answering at meetings is your idea of help. Please I leave anti jw litature at Kingdom Halls. I have helped many friends learn the ttatt. Told my own mother she was a cult member and the elders..

What is the difference between wearing makeup and and celebrating a birthday?

jehovah's witnesses state that it is okay to wear a little makeup because the bible does not say it is not allowed.
according to jehovah's witnesses, there are two accounts of birthdays being celebrated in the bible and both had to do with beheadings/murders.

This reminds me of my non JW aunt. She had no children and her husband pass away. She basically had no family in CA but me and my sisiters. Only me and my other sister who is out of the cult went to see her in the nursing home. My uber JW sister who is always pioneering with her elder husband would spend all this money to go to international assemblies and always talk down about everyone else. Not once did she visit our aunt even though they lived a few miles away. I had to travel 120 miles to visit one way. To think they couldn't even throw a magazine on her dying corpse to count time. Guess what when she died they were first in line to grab the money she had left us.

Witnesses are truly apostle's of hate and apostle's of denial. This is why I feel this cult in dangerous there lack of love and true caring for people. This is a relgion that had their brightest and best sit in prisons for what is now a "conscious matter" with out a hint of apology and even tried to spin it as a good thing that men and women were in prison. How many were raped or died? Sick

Being honest & fair, can you think of anything that the Watchtower does that's beneficial to the public?
by Theocratic Sedition ini'm curious, as where i reside there's about to be a major brouhaha over the tax exempt status of a major player in this area.
reading and hearing the arguments from both sides conjured thoughts about the tax exempt status of religions and the arguments associated with that issue.
a significant portion of the arguments related to that issue center around how a tax exempt organization benefits it's community.
