  Speculation on why now?

  in the last couple of years the org has gone money crazy, selling off over a billion dollars worth of property and now a new tithing program.

  just wonder what every one thinks is the reason for all this now?.

  They have gotten away with changing fundamental doctrines like the FDS and Generation. They will change 1914 and 144,000 at some point but first off they want more money and they realise the 7 million jdubs believe they, in the GB, are God's chosen channel thus they know they can say or do anything...like give us your money...and they will obey...

  Is it true that the GB is soon planning on ditching the 1914 doctrine?

  Well the fact that 1914 is based on an incorrect date to start with and an incorrect calculation 1914 has no basis in the bible...so it does need to change...but that fact that as mentioned it is pretty much the keystone of the JW's belief's it's hard to see them change it.

  One thing is for sure though, if they do change it and most of the jdubs accept it then the GB have won...because if jdubs accept a change in that then they will accept everything and anything the GB say...

  The GB have got away with changing the FDS and the Generation...will they take the risk and change 1914? Their reasoning will need to be pretty convincing...cue terms like "evidently" and "obviously this is what Jehovah meant".

  No written record prior to 5,000 years ago means it is opinion and conjecture? HOW? There are vast amounts of lines of evidence that are not "written word" that prove to be true...

  And written word about something doesn't mean it itself is 100% true and accurate either!

  You have also received some of the donor's personality a la personality transplant...you need to be DF pronto...

  Just as well you never went to a spirt medium as demons manifest themselves as tentacle like creatures and attach themselves to the medium's spine...
