Estimation for people who have lived since Adam
by James Mixon in69-110 billion, 90% of the people who've ever lived are dead.
that's a lot of folks to be resurrected.
take away we who are apostates (a million or two) that still leave 67-110 billion.. raining down manna from heaven will not cut the mustard for 100 billion people, there is not much you can do with manna, manna bread, manna tacos, manna soup and manna sweet cakes.. there is not enough resources to to house and feed 100 billion people, 7-8 billion today.. i'am not a economist or mathematician but the resurrection will create a whole set of new problems for mankind.. it becomes a bigger problem when you figure in those folks the lived before adam that the bible forgot to mention..

Funny thing is the Reasoning Book, published in the 80's or 90's said that it was 20 billion...which was perhaps true back then but as you say now it is very high and will just get higher and higher...more folks on the earth than ever before thus the death rate is high as well... -

Kingdom Consolidation and Sales are coming – Reliable Source
by thedepressedsoul ini heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.
currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.
any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.

From a human standpoint it doesn't seem practical does it, I mean if the end is so close and the more preaching work there is you would need more halls...not less...like you would need more spiritual food...not less.
But hey...even if things seem impractical from a human standpoint...trust the slave class!!!
Excuse me while I barf...

NEW LIGHT FROM SLO CIRCUIT OVERSEER "Warning, Blood on Doorposts", "The Couple who Missed One Meeting Died With Their Kids, Don't Miss Any!
by Trailer Park Pioneer insorry, i messed up before i could put the right title on this new light from our circuit overseer, his visit show's a great desperation in the organization's mindset, adding more anxiety and guilt to jws who already feel they don't measure up!.
hi, i attended the circuit overseers visit and got really angry because our c.o.
gave information coming from the governing body's chief apologists regarding "meeting attendance" and "the couple who missed one meeting and lost their entire family because they did not get the "411" when armageddon was coming!

Will the GB use the on going conflict with Muslim extremists as a sign of the end being near?
by adjusted knowledge ini haven't read over much of the recent articles in the last decade from the wt.
i wonder if they will mention muslim extremists and use that fear as a control mechanism on their members.
i have a feeling they will resist mentioning islam specifically.

99% of the world has no idea who JW's are and I'm sure ISIS or the Taliban are not interested in the JW's even if they did mention Islam. -

Question related to the digestive tract of carnivores
by geevee ini was raised as a jw from about the age of 2, my parents were baptized when i was 5 years old.. i always liked the thought in the song about a young boy leading all of these once viscous animals, that are now tame.... in some of the reading i have done, the digestive tracts of carnivores..meat eaters has a highly acidic stomach, with a short small intestine and a short large intestine [bowel].
a lot of apes are frugivores [fruit eaters] less acid, long small intestine and longer bowel.
the question: did god recreate these animals [carnivores] and change their digestive tracts after the noachian flood so that they could eat meat [other creatures] as the jw's believe that these animals only ate straw [herbivores] before the flood and that he will restore their original herbivore digestive tract after armageddon?.

Not to mention that we as humans require a balanced diet that includes some meats, or seafood etc... (Or at least vitamin supplements to replace these for those that choose to be vegetarian)
Also, human teeth....there are teeth that specifically assist in chewing meats
What???? What utter tripe...I'm a vegan and eat a balanced diet with no meat or dairy nor any processed foods and I don't need any vitamins or supplements.
The only benefit you get from eating meat is all the things that the animal has eaten itself so just skip the middle part and eat what the animal ate...fruit and veg!
A 100% plant-based diet is widely recognised as one of the most healthiest diets around.
Take a look at the RAVE diet for further research.

And the problem with this is ABC, not being exdubs like us, won't know what to look out for...there could be snippets of something important that they miss because they either do not understand the terminology of witness language or they think it is not important. -

I remember giving a talk about the Big A and one of the elders wives, in her 80's and in poor health came up to me at the end and thanked me as she said she hopes to see the end before she died...she died a few years ago and of course she never saw the end...since it will not come.
But she was an old timer, her hubby was one of the first elders/cong servants in the UK!!! They were old skool...
So this thread reminds me of her...these poor folk who serve their whole life believing the end is so close...I'm just a bit happy to have got free when I did.

How do you overcome this JW excuse?
by EdenOne induring one of those meetings that took place before my jc, one of the elders, who was a good friend of mine back then and used to come up with a few outlandish personal views about some teachings, attempted to counter one of my arguments like this:.
eden - "well, if the truth doesn't change, why is it that what we teach as 'truth' has changed over the years (several examples given)?
how can we dogmatically claim at any given moment that we have 'the truth' if our teachings keep changing?".

Generation.
Literally.
Anointed disciples.
The people around about.
Now overlapping.
So none of that has changed but just "perspective"?
I think people need to stop using the word "logic" when talking about this elders statement because there is none.
