  Got the personal invite to the D.C

  a nice jw old boy knocked the door and asked me how i was, said they were giving out invites, i refrained from mocking him for the total waste of time such "work" is.. he mentioned that " we don't know when the end will come" , so i just said i was sure my new grandson would grow up, go to university, get a good job and his kids would do the same, by which time i shall be long gone.. "you are sure of that ?

  " asked the jw, "oh yes", i replied.. i know we cannot be sure of anything, except death and taxes, but there is loads of evidence that my scenario may well play out, there is no single shred of evidence for an "end to the system" as envisaged by jw's, their weird view coming from a totally discredited source, the bible and mainly its final book, what nonsense..

  I agree JW Armageddon is not coming anytime. But if Trump becomes president I wouldn't be so sure of the rest.
  In fact even if he doesn't become president I doubt the prospects of humans surviving the 21st century.
  Is that unusual?

  I can't see Trump winning...few of his own party saying today he is unfit for president...polls are close though.

  In my opinion there will not a be a supernatural end to the world given I conclude there is no god but as for a man-made end to the world? Who knows...I was speaking to some high up ranking Navakl chaps recently who said things are getting very interesting with Russia...

  spoke with a fellow apostate from my own area.

  she and i bailed out about the same time and kept in touch.. she used to do secular work with one of the local elders in his cleaning business until she got dfed.

  this same elder was one of the more profound dickheads on my reinstatement committee, before i turned around two years later and daed.. business required her to contact the elder on behalf of an old client.

  I would say the OP post is quite common...I see loads of dubs going through the mill...doing their little bit...a meeting here and there...a bit of ministry...but lots of living life with holidays etc...by far the majority of congregations have like a 25% elite core that are 100% in and do everything whilst the rest just mill along.

  The GB will need to do something in terms of doctrine change to spice things up otherwise they will lose more and quicker...and changing doctrine to suit the passage of time or to keep things urgent is the near definition of a cult...

  My still in wife is at the very beginning of waking up and its dawning on her what the GB and the WTS really are...a printing firm...

  Volunteer workers pushed to renounce to their social rights

  surprisingly in spain, a large quantity of bethel volunteers (nice to words to say workers) have received their letter telling they are not anymore required.

  in this country, government obliged bethel to give social rights such as basic social security (doctors, etc..) to the volunteers as they understand that it is a business relationship.. all of them have been pushed to sign a letter stating they renounce to their work and then go outside bethel with not a single right (unemployment, etc...).

  it is really unfortunately but silly from bethel office to arrange it this way.

  how come animals teeth are designed to chew meat?

  sharks for instance have razor sharp pointy teeth these are not to eat vegetation .

  just wanted to say hello, i have been visiting this site for a very long time and i feel like i know so many of you already, now you can get to know me but for now i'm fading so i cant give my complete story.

  i'm single but have "hardcore" siblings in the religion, thankfully i do have family who never expressed interest in the jws.

  i really checked out years ago from to much mental abuse and no recognition for all that i gave to this organization.

  we opened this inquiry in 2014. watch tower then initiated what turned out to be protracted litigation against us.

  I came here three years ago for support and to make friends

  this site is such a great and valuable resource and simon is to be commended for running it for so long.

  when i first came i was in such a bad state and really needed support and friendship.

  so many posters commented on my threads and showed genuine care some are real life friends, some are facebook friends, some i talk to on the phone and some are forum friends.. i have just realised though that everyone online is not your friend.

  I'm active on many forums...JW and non JW related...I don't class anyone I know on them as "friends"....friends are for real life...forums and the internet is a very hard place to form friends for the same reason that it can be abused...you can hide what you are...
