Thanks for the link tetrapod.sapien.
I want to clarify that in NO WAY do I see myself as Anakin going bad.
I am simply saying that the Jedi Counsel wouldn't give Anakin the title of 'Master' because they didn't trust him yet.
Believe me, I feel like the JWs are the Dark Side...LOL!

I saw 'Revenge of the Sith' this past weekend. I couldn't help but find similarities of Anakin and young male JWs.
In fact, I felt a lot like Anakin. He was appointed to the Jedi Counsel, however, he wasn't given the title of Jedi Master.
When I was a JW, I was asked to do many things: Read the Watchtower on Sunday's. Give talks during the TMS. Read for the Book Study. Additionally, I went out in Field Service as often as possible.
But, like Anakin, I was never appointed to a "titled" position, in my case as a Ministerial Servant. I could never understand why. This caused me to feel unworthy of Jehovah's love and mercy.
As I am now nearly three years removed from the JWs, I see how incredibly stupid the whole "title" thing is in that religion. Really, you're appointed if that paricular body likes you. It's all political.
Just venting. Thanks for listening.

Dag, Badwillie.
I can't (but really I can) believe that she got married.
Funny thing is that I didn't know she go married, either.
PS...Badwillie and I are friends from childhood.

Law and Order
by jula71 indid anyone catch last night?s law and order?
the plot was about a cult that had a history of child molestation and when accusations surfaced, the leader said that kind of thing is not tolerated and those involved were expelled from the church.
hmmmm?who does that sound like?

I caught the episode last night, also.
I think what made me relate the episode to the JWs was that it was a very small religious group. Also, the older man who was 'hiding' the mother was JUST LIKE a JW mouthpiece (ala J.R. Brown).
And, the victims kept referring to the church as a 'cult'.
ALSO, I called my friend (badwillie on this Forum) to tell him how much the mother reminded me of his mother (not the actions of the mother, but, the personality, and the smug facial expressions).
Oh, and how the mother blamed the victims instead of those who were responsible for the horrible acts.

First of all, this is my favorite Rap song!
After the first chorus (and, picking up where Leolaia left off).....
Standing on the front stoop, peekin' in the window,
Tracking all the Not-At-Homes, boring as the hours go.
Crazy sister, diggin in her bag,
eating fast food sandwiches, tried to place a new mag.
Search and found a mango, so cold she wears a kangol,
so many not-at-homes, she seemed to lost her senses.
Down near the peepshow, counting all her time,
So she can fudge her numbers to the elders at the hall.
She went to the city and got so so so ditty
She got a worldly man, she couldn't make it on her own. -

Do Jehovah's Witnesses keep records on people?
by inquirer ini have known some people (i dont' know if it's true or not) [and i am the kind of person that doesn't like to cause trouble] who have said that jehovah's witnesses keep tabs/records on people.
all the things they have done like if they got babtized, personal problems/experiences, arguments they may had with people, and just their general conduct as well.
have any people here found out about a "black book" where they keep records on you?

There are records kept and maintained on every JW.
But, I am really responding to your thread so that I can say WELCOME!

I underestimated the Patriots this week.
With that said, as much as I would like to see a Pennsylvania Super Bowl, I predict an Eagles-Patriots Super Bowl.
