I edited my post... Here's the (edited) original:
Hello, everyone.
As noted in the topic, I joined here 13 years ago. I last posted here over 5 years ago. I just now learned that this site still exists!
I remember the first time back in 2002 when I started reading all the posts of people who were having the same doubts, insecurities and questions as me. I was scared to death to come here but I couldn't resist.
Anyway, 13 years later, all those years spent as a JW are now a mere blip in the radar for me but it took quite a long time to get here. Still, I know it's a different road for everyone. So, all the best to all of you who are now going through what I have also gone through.

Porn is .....Mostly Irrelevant
by metatron inthis is one of those things that can amaze you (well, me actually).
you are taught a relentless fear about porn and it gets demonized heavily - but what is the real result?.
most guys don't want a porn star for a wife and separate fantasy from reality in regard to interaction with the opposite sex.. maybe that's why religious types like witnesses demonize it so much: they are unable to distinguish fact from fantasy.. see:.

What's up, everyone? I haven't posted here in a couple of years (at minimum). I stopped posting because Simon was closing down the site. I didn't realize it was still in existence. . This site really helped me when I took my first baby steps of my exodous from the JW organization.
I haven't been to the hall since 2005, except once when living in Brazil (2008) because I was curious to see how the Brazilian's did their meetings. Let me tell you, it's just as mind numbing in Portuguese as it is in English.
Anyway, I see lots of new faces here, and it's good to see you here!
PS...How do I update my profile?

So, I was chilling out at my favorite spot in Phoenix, AZ called Bobby C's this past Saturday night. It's small and intimate but it also has a dance floor, DJ, soul food, and liquor.
George Benson and his wife sat down at the bar a couple of stools down from me. He was nursing a bottle of beer while socializing with some of the other patrons.
The Benson's were well dressed and seemed to enjoy Bobby C's. I heard that they attend this place from time to time, but I had never run in to them. I have seen a member from the Gap Band there before.
Anyway, just a sighting I had. I don't know if he's still a dub or not. Regardless, I always enjoyed his music...he's very talented.
Maybe next time I will bump in to DMX or Mike Tyson, they live out here in the desert.
