i ruined a real relationship with a real man that i had been with for 11 years for a jw who used me, got his rocks off, then told me to hang in there.
i have lost everything for this person, and does this person care????
i doubt it.
Saint Theresa,
Do we know each other? Something in your story rings a bell.
If you have a friend named Lambchop, then I am familiar with your situation, and your former mate. I am certain if you explain to your man, he will forgive all. You will find him quite understanding, in fact. If you know me personally, you probably know this already as we both know your man very well. You can take my word on it. He would never cast your love aside easily.
If you are not the person I think you are, approaching him and attempting reconcilation might still work. If it doesn't, what do you have to lose?

Saint Theresa,
Have you asked your wonderful guy if he would consider reconcilling with you? You would have to apologize, but he may want you back.
I do have a question though. Was there a problem with your relationship of 11 years? Or did you just get the "11 year itch"? Most people do not end a good 11 year relationship easily. Perhaps it was not as good as you think. Or, perhaps it was better than you thought it was at the time.
I hope you are able to patch things up.

hey my friends,.
throw me some positive thoughts over the next few days.. my job worries are back and my brother called yesterday to say my mother is going downhill more quickly than i imagined.. mitch and i are off to visit her and dad tomorrow.. i had a terrible panic attack last night.
mitch got a xanax in me in the nick of time and i calmed down and went to sleep.. hope everyone is having a good holiday season.
You have my empathy Joel. I am glad Mitch is there to support you...it is times like these when you really need your partner's support.
Remember that fear is just an emotion, and fortunately most of our worries and fears never happen.

last week i asked for advice for a relative who had left her husband.. well, yesterday the elders called on her, in her new place, in another congregation's territory, so her husband must have given them her address.. she thought it was the mailman, so opened the door, surprised to see the elders.
she told them this was not a good time, and one said "can we come back later?
so he says, "are your refusing to meet with the elders, then?
Mulan, I am proud of her. She is caring for herself and not allowing herself to be pushed around. And as COMF said, for all the right reasons.

why jehovah's witnesses are the "happiest people on earth".
thus spake homer simpson:.
"those germans!!
how "loving" is it for anyone to believe that a person who does not accept JW's version of reality as Truthâ„¢ is a gross sinner deserving of eternal damnation?? How "loving" is it to condemn someone for having a successful business or career or an education beyond high school?? What kind of "God" murders a newborn infant because his or her parents are not Jehovah's Witnesses?? What kind of "God" destroys a person who has never had contact with Jehovah's Witnesses, and therefore was never duly warned?? The kind of god who is Jehovah, the god of Schadenfreude!! And here on earth, he has a shamefully joyful people for his name..... Jehovah's Witnesses!
Good points, as usual, Scully. I remember thinking about that while out in field service. A man did not have time to listen to "the message" because he was busy wallpapering. Not to mention that "the message" differed little from a magazine sales pitch. I realized that a God would who kill a person because they did not have time to listen to JWs at the door (and probably thought we were there just to sell magazines) was not worthy of my worship.

my thanks to yoyomamma for inspiring this post.
yoyomamma got me thinking about how god views children, and the rules regarding children who are not "saved" and why.. is this a god you want to worship?.
i'll start with the merciful versions i personally know of: .
My thanks to YoYoMamma for inspiring this post. YoYoMamma got me thinking about how God views children, and the rules regarding children who are not "saved" and why.

I'll start with the merciful versions I personally know of:
1) Catholic: unbaptised children go to limbo. This is not heaven, but is a place of happiness. Eventually, the children go to heaven. This raises questions, but I generally have no complaint with it.
2) "General" Christians: Most christians of various faiths believe that children go to heaven. I hav no complaint with this. And it would be unfair for me to leave them out.
3) JW: children of non-JWs or "bad" JWs will die in Armageddon. So much for sons not being punished for the sins of their parents.
4) Born-again: Children who are not saved go to hell. Yup, even if they die within hours of being born.
5) 1Sam. 15:3 makes it clear that Jah ordered the killing of infants.
(This makes abortion an issue separate from Christianity. It is absurd to believe that God wants a fetus to be born but could not care if it is killed once born.)
6) Julie pointed out that when a Jah-ordered genocide is being carried out, many unborn children must be killed. Amoungst millions of people there must be thousands of pregnant women.
(This makes abortion an issue separate from Christianity. It is absurd to believe that God wants a fetus to be born but then has the pregnant mother - and hence the fetus - killed.)
Think about the kind of God shown in 3 to 6...and those who follow the Bible in 1&2 still have to accept 5&6. Is this the kind of God you want to worship? Not me.

recently a survey was conducted by the u.n. worldwide.. the question asked was, "would you please give your opinion about the food.
shortage in the rest of the world?".
the survey was a huge failure.. in africa they did not know what 'food' meant.. in western europe, they did not know what 'shortage' meant.. in eastern europe they did not know what 'opinion' meant.. in south america they did not know what 'please' meant.. and in the u.s. they did not know what 'the rest of the world' meant.
LOL! Good one!

do you have what it takes to be a troll, a fundie or creationist?
are you ready to make a change in the ex-jw world and enlighten the masses and put fear into the hearts of your enemies?.
maybe your assumption was that on the internet, anyone with half a brain could go to online discussion boards like this one and do their business.
Mindchild, you expressed my sentiments exactly. I could not have said it before.
I have adopted a quote from that article as my signature...
