  I read what you wrote I didn't make a mistake.
  You said "...that perfectly illustrates" in regard to the movie.
  And didn't put "chicken shit" in quotes ,pardon me for thinking it was your own expression.
  You gave the impression you were using the movie to express your opinion of how world events had worked.
  Don't YOU just love it when people don't actually read what was written and then make stupid comments?

  Yes you missed something.
  It is well publisied over here that the IRA recieved lots of funding from within the USA and the goverment did nothing about it.

  By the way over 3,500 have been killed by terrorists over Northen Ireland
  In Britian and Ireland.The troubles are still going.

  We are the best religon,all othes are bad , inferier from satan evil, when someone hates us they're jealous of us.

  The western world only exists in the wealth and security it has because we thats Britian, france, Germany ,Japan, America whatever exploit the rest of the world and its resources.
  When i talk of a country I talk of its government and big businesses.
  The people who live in Russia , china ,Iraq etc often dont like their goverments don't know any different or cant do anything about their situation.

  I find pride in our wealth and achievments distastefull when we allow so much poverty and suffering in other lands and then are supprised when those countries hate us.

  There is no excuse for what murderous terrorists do.

  If we were in on of these third rate countries land would we act differently, or would we belive the ideals of or present land were correct?

  Remmember Jesus illustraiton of the rafter in your eye.
  How can you remove the rafter from someone elses eye when you have one in you own?

  I find this stupid and arrogant, am I the only one?

  By the way its the type of reasoning I'm against not that I think Americans think like that or are stupid or arrogant.
  But If anyone from any nation feels that way , even from my own country I cant agree with them.

  This type of reasoning is why so many people in other countries think that americans can be so stupid and arrogant.

  Countries like Germany, Japan and also Britian and France are not rich today because Armerica rebuilt them although they did receive help after there allready vast wealth was spent on fighting two world wars ( Germany and Britian from start to finnish).

  For a start Germany and Japan no longer spend vast sums on building military forces unlike other countries and havent done so since the second world war.This puts them in a position to concentrate money elsewhere and build strong econimies.
  They may have been forced inbto this position but this was by America , Britian and Russia not America alone.

  So rightly should America supply money to rebuild these countries they annihilated many of their cities killing Hundreds of thousands of civillians in the procces, many more than were killed in the world trade centre .

  "A little chicken shit country decides to declare war on America, knowing full and well that they would be better off in all ways after they lost the war because America would help them with buckets of money and other resources."
  I dont know of any instance of that happening, can you state one?

  Do you really think people start wars because they want to be like another nation but carnt achieve it so they start a war in the hope of this so great a country with so much freedom that over 20,000 people get murdered every year will afterward rebuild the country and give it money and thaen they will be a rich country?
  Are you mad?

  Germany ,Japan and Great Britian have been very rich countries for a very long time their wealth was reduced by war, they didnt fight in the hope of getting money from America as they were already rich.
  They didn't envy the freedom in America as countries like Britian were already experiencing greater freedom, unless you link freedom with money making opportunites which could be enjoyed in any new country such as Australia or in South Africa as long as you suppressed the natives.That doesnt sound like America does it?

  how come that when jesus was on earth there were so many demon possessd people .. imagine how scared people must have been, creeping down the street wondering whether the next person you met was crased by demons and was going to attack you.. so how did they work out that someone was possessed by demons, who told them?how did they know it wasnt just a disease or other afliction?.

  and were are all those demon possessions today ?.

  you would think that with all the comunication technology today that at least one example of a positivly demon possessed person could be presented to the midia somewere in the world.. or perhaps we cant tell if someone is possessed or not because there are no extra outwould signs and any disease they caused would show up like a normal disease in tests.. maybe we are all possessed and dont know it.

  Reasoning on use of Blood to safe lives!

  i don't post very often on this board and when i do i'm quite laconic.

  it's my nature, im a person of few yet concise words.

  that being said i would like to share my brief thoughts on the blood issue as i see it.. all jws are familiar with the words at luke 22:20 as they are read ritually every memorial: " ...this cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf.".

  Did you ever have an experiance with Holy Spirit?

  i have never felt the intervention of the holy spirit in my life.

  maybe that is one of the reasons i never felt like a good christian.. i think someone can take any situation and say it was the holy spirit acting in their life if they want to believe bad enough.

  i saw my mother do this many times.. anyone here had any experiences that they felt was the holy spirit acting in their lives?

  Hello stealth.

  Have I ever experienced the holy spirit it my life ?

  No.But I have experenced things other people would put down to outside forces.

  I did used to wonder about this a lot.
  It always amased me how poeple would attribute things to the holy spirit or to satan when they had no proof of such and there were other obvious explaiations of how events could have happened.

  When I was young though I used to think the holy spirit or god was doing things in my life .Now wisdom and knomledge teaches me otherwise.

  Perhaps people who still belive in it are immature in reasoning or maybee they do experence it and I never have.

  But why should I belive them when they dont present solid evedence.

  Anyway I had an experence about five years ago when I was asleep, I felt as though i had woken up and could see clearly around me, my body felt tightly compressed around the middle.
  Then I could feel my body rising upward and tried to fight against it.
  I woke up in a panic.It felt so real it was unbeliveable.

  Another time I was in a foriegn hotel and was woken up by someone pushing my shoulder.I woke up in a start.
  But there was no one there.
  I then turned toward the doorway and saw a green shape almost like that of a human that graduly dissapeared.
  I was so scared that I turned the light on and read my bible for the rest of the night.

  Initialy I put these down to supernatural sources but now I think otherwise.
  The first was obviously a very vivid dream.When you sleep you body gets paralised to stop you acting out your dreams, I think that was the tightness i felt around me.
  The rising up ,well did you ever when you were young go on a swing ?well I remember that sometimes after I had been on a swing in the park when I went to bed at night if i shut my eyes i would feel like i was on that swing , I would feel my body rising and falling.So you body can produce these effects naturaly.
  The same probably goes for my second experence though it is harder to explain the shape I saw, maybee my eyes were adjusting to the light.

  Both these seamed very real at the time, and others have put similair experences down to the demons etc.

  I wonder what these so called experences with holyspirit are really like?

  I agree

  John 6:54 says,
  "He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life,"
  Although jesus wasn't being literal here why would he choose to illustrate what his death ment to others , that his dying and you accepting his death in place of your own,was like eating his blood in that way if it wasnt a greater good to give your life and blood if it ment saving someone else if god didn't approve?

  Why would jesus say it was as if you were eating his blood ,if the very concept was wrong?

  Remmember this speach was shocking to the jews , because they thought it wrong to eat blood .
  many left jesus on hearing this.

  If jesus didnt think it right to eat blood to save life why did he say this?

  what is it about the organization that changes seemingly normal people into carbon copies of corporate policy, changes them down to their very soul?

  how is it that loyalty to this organization can cause one to turn off natural affection between parent and child, spouses, grandparents etc.

  what exactly, specifically, is it that they do during these five weekly meetings and/or with their printed words that has such a profound and powerful effect on people.

  In the org your taught not to think only to accept what you are told.
  You only hear one side of an aurgument.
  There are so many meetings, fieldservice , so called bible study etc people dont have time to question or reason.
  They think others more intelligent than them have found the answers and they don't need to look anymore just follow.
