  the quotation used in today's wt study about the evil slave "being for all practical purposes, hypothetical", is taken from the net bible and was written by a bible 'scholar' from christendom!.

  three points:.

  1. jesus always spoke by means of illustrations & parables.. 2. matthew 24:45-47 is a parable!.

  I didn't look at the article before I went yesterday, OMG it took every ounce of self control I could muster not to laugh my F***ing ass off when I flipped the page and saw that box. "Holy s**t! They are talking about themselves!"

  They basically describe themselves, then "oh but this is justhypothetically speaking "

  They have serious balls to print that. They are laughing at everyone.

  Ok well i freaking went to meeting today...i asked an elder if tickets were required and he said no and was startled that i asked.

  In fact, they dropped an open invitation for all in attendance from stage when they were concluding the meeting so i guess you dont even have to be a baptized witness.

  "All are stronglyencouraged to attend."

  Ok ive heard only "activeJWs in good standing" can attend, what if youre irreguar? How are they enforcing this? Tickets?

  I ask cause a "sister" (elders wife) texted to check up on me and make sure i was going and let me know shewould save me a seat...i dont want to drive all the way out to the assembly hall to be humiliated at the door (awkward).

  So, whats in store for me as i attempt to attend this thing?

  Eve made our periods painful

  i was just remembering this teaching--that a mythical woman ate a piece of fruit 1000s of years ago after a snake told her to, and that's the reason we have menstrual pain.. you see, the bible says eve was cursed for her sin with painful childbirth.

  hence we can make up extrapolate that this includes menstruation, which is just part of childbearing.

  then we can make up extrapolate that this applies to all females in the entire human race today, because according to a loving god we should all share in her sin as we all have vaginas too.. i remember crying in total agony while i was insulted comforted by having this scripture and explanation read aloud to me, and thinking how much this knowledge drew me closer to jehovah made me realize what a misogynistic wackadoodle cult this was.. thor causing thunder is more plausible than this.. if dubs take midol, does that mean they are scoring jehovah's lesson?.

  2014 Event

  i know its a year away but i wanted to inquire about the hundred year anniversary of 1914. it would be amazing to have a world wide event reguarding all exjws.

  i am nowhere near capable of putting this together but i'd like to propose the largest assembly of exjws ever on october 1st 2014. can it be done?

  am i the first to bring this up?

  I agree most JWs arnt really thinking about 2014, but thats just because its not being brought to their attention....
