well my friends...it has been brought to my attention that as a forum assistant i am supposed to somehow lead by example.

However, I think that your translation of the word "drinctåbleünder" as "Valis Almighty" is incorrect. According to the new fragments in the Tokêmalòt scrolls (TS23-IV), it should be translated "Slippy the Almighty". Slippy the Almighty was the Aramaic God of Liquor and all things alcoholic.

when i was in the borg, the understanding was that apostates and former annointed, who had fallen away, and turned against the borg were the 'evil slave class'.

i understand there are about 27,000 abuse victims, and about 6,000 lawsuits standing against the borg.

so first you get molested, and now you are 'evil' ?

if the jw organization were considered a normal business operating without the protections of being a religion, it obviously would have to make some big changes in order to avoid being sued out of existence for sex discrimination.

i wasn't raised to think that women should be relegated to second class status or that they should have less opportunities than men or be relegated to a limited set of life roles.

however, when i became a jw, i freely accepted all the sexist nonsense that came with the territory without ever being bothered by it.

Help me out? a request for critique on my writing

i hope you don't mind me asking, but i know lots of people here so i thought i'd post to ask for your opinions on my most recent short story.

i've posted it here on a short story writing website http://www.eastoftheweb.com/uncut/node/view/2370 honestly i'm looking for constructive critisism - its ok to be harsh.. the story is a bit humourous and is less than 1100 words, so it's a quick read.

if you are really kind, you could comment over on that site too.. i've always wanted to write more and ultimately get something published, and this is a way for me to try to improve and learn.

I thought it was clever!! Write more!! I was bummed when it was finished.

My thoughts:

You used "really" too close together in the first two paragraphs and there is one spot where the board doesn't lisp when saying "you're". I thought it was really cool!!!

The Easter Bunny Got Drunk

my daughter was so surprised that he left her an easter basket, just like santa, she said.

that silly easter bunny left some dolls for our neighbors at our house and when we went to their house to give them their dolls, would you believe he left some things for teryn at their house??

i posted this on sunday but i think the demons got to it .

i should have known that on a beautiful saturday morning that dubs we be crawling the neighborhood.

we've been living in this neighborhood for about a year and a half and we are usually home on saturdays.
