No. They believe that each person must make his own decision. (Joshua 24:15) Jehovah’s Witnesses “honor men of all sorts,” regardless of their religious beliefs.—1 Peter 2:17.

Of course they do, that's something "householders" read about in the Bible Teach book. The wording is misleading at best and really beside the point anyway.

Spiral, you make a really good point: applying in and of itself sets young men (and women) up to lie about pornography. Probably the right thing to do here is to tell everyone ahead of time what the application asks about so that those who "can't" apply because they've watched porn don't ask for an application to begin with. But we all know "Jehovah's organization" likes to maintain ts secrets.

JW GoneBad: I wonder if the beady eyed look is supposed to be... penetrating, like he's getting into your head, and telling you that he knows if you're being deceitful? Or maybe he's just uncomfortable, he twitches a lot as he talks, keeps moving his head from side to side, etc.

by john.prestor inin crisis of conscience, raymond franz reproduces a letter sent to him from someone representing the governing body in which they thank him for returning the text, governing body procedure.
franz says nothing about this text any other place in the work, but i've been trying to track it down, because it sounds like another confidential manual like shepherd the flock of god.
i doubt it's been leaked (i'm shocked, pleasantly, that we even have circuit overseer guidelines, the confidential manual used by circuit overseers) but you never know.. is anyone else familiar with this work?

joe : dont get mad or offensive, but there was a documentary that aired a few nights ago on prime time tv in the usa concerning the jws, and there was some very nasty stuff mentioned, and it certainly wasn’t positive toward the organisation.
