This Is Shit!
I fixed it for you.
i can't say much out of fear of getting caught, but i overheard a jw i know on the phone with a friend talking about "how close we are to the end.
" yeah, yeah, i know.
we've been on the brink of armageddon for well over a century, but what struck me about this particular instance was what she said next.
I fixed it for you.
wtf???
i didn’t know this was a thing.
is someone making significant money from this?
Wait until the WTBTS finds out. They’ll shut that down quick!
the grammar table, set up in upper west side manhattan by ellen jovin, is the place to learn about the oxford comma, gerunds, conjunctive adverbs, et al.. "on rainy days, the competition between word proselytizers and the word proselytizers can be intense.
'i'm often in competition with jehovah's witnesses for the space,' she said.
earlier in the week, she found a favorite under-the-eave perch had been snagged.
Punctuation saves lives:
or:
i was a thriving regular pioneer, doing all thr things wholeheartedly, had 16 bible studies, 7 attending meetings regularly, 11 magazine routes and 100's of rv's.
you can imagine i was always runnin out of literature and always a good list of books to order every month.
(not bragging, just stating facts.all this is wasted anyway).
The WT leaders ARE liars.
There. I fixed it for you!
ever encountered or eyewitnessed problems escalating, arguements and rows between elders right at the kh anyone?.
one such experience was just before the meeting was about to start,we heard raised voices from the second room between two elders.
a minute later two other elders went into the room and we could all hear that they were trying to cool the situation down with whatever was going on in there.
Hey, they’re just people.
All JWs are under intense pressure to conform to unrealistic behaviors and impossibly high standards. This is by design. It’s part of how cults work. They control their members by setting impossible tasks so that the cult member feels shitty about themselves when they “fall short” (Romans 3:23).
This is Codependent Relationships 101.
And the elders have even more responsibilities for which they are completely untrained, but are nevertheless expected to somehow perform nearly perfectly, often while working full-time, being a husband and a father of a “perfect little model JW family,” handling endless meeting parts, “shepherd the flock,” and of course: “Make sure you spend at least 10 hours a month out in the Field Ministry, Brother!”
It’s overwhelming. I know. I tried to do all this for over 20 years.
Additionally, elders are supposed to be unanimous in agreeing with the rest of the elder body about pretty much everything. Granted, many elders are reasonably intelligent, but even given that—the vast majority have only a high school diploma or less. Generally speaking, they’re mostly an uneducated lot. And many are quite simply fools. It’s frustrating.
Honestly, it’s surprising blowouts like the one described in the OP don’t happen more often.
But it does prove that “Holy Spirit” ain’t got nothin’ to do with this religion.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
this was the reply i was given by our coordinator at our recent kingdom hall security meeting.. he explained that they aren't allowed to buy any appliances or do any changes to the kingdom hall without branch approval.
"we put in our letter that a video security system could be purchased for around $600 locally and an app could be downloaded for the attendants to monitor the cameras what's going onoutside.
" they said;" such a system would not be needed in our area of the country, if standard protocols of security are followed as outline by the branch.
Micromanagement of relativity tiny purchases for reasonable security purposes betrays a whole host of ills on the part of the branch leadership.
Let’s review: It’s a cult!
recently bret weinstein and richard dawkins sat down for a debate.in the following video, weinstein talks about what can be done to address an error in dawkins'selfish gene theory in terms of the new atheism's error and regarding religion as a mind virus.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm8fksjljtm&t=1096s_____and a good follow up:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr5yn2g4h54&t=904s.

CG: We should not be attacking believers [sic] cultural belief or religious institutions because evolution is true.
Yes, but: we should be attacking believer’s cultural beliefs and/or religious institutions when, and if, they are false and harmful because they are false and harmful!
well, i've been lurking for a bit.
first out of cautious curiosity, then, though feeling a bit more comfortable to post, got caught in the confirmation email anomaly, and left unable to post or participate.
so i remained lurking, reading and researching.
Welcome and congratulations on leaving the JW cult. Life get a better after this!
when the israelites left egypt in 1513 b.c.e., they may have numbered more than three million.
spanning three or even four generations.
🤭.
It’s only a “slip-up” if you expect WT “theology” to be coherent, consistent, logical and/or make sense.
