  Update:I'm back with my wife

  these past few months have really been a roller coaster ride to say the least.

  i know i haven't been posting much for the past few months, as i was really in a deep depression.

  at the end of last month i moved back in with my wife and children.

  It's so true that you don't know what you've got till it's gone!

  I'm glad you got back together before it was too late.

  I was married to a JW and I too was disassociated. We had some ups and downs..but we loved each other and learned to live with our differences. It got kinda rough at the end but I think that was because hubby was getting cancer. I'm so glad we had 45 years together..witness or not.You can't turn off the love just because they are JW's..and vice versa.

  I miss him terribly ..he's been gone for 3 years now. I think if I could have him back I would even go to the KH with him. Death puts a lot of things in perspective. Some things seem so trivial after that.(Religious arguments)

  So don't push each other to change..and be nice to each other..While you still have each other..it sure gets lonely when they're gone...

  Taking leave of absence from work

  i have been sick for over a year now.

  the biggest problem that i'm having now is the one with my blood.

  the doctor has diagnosed me with lymphocytosis, neutropenia, and anemia.

  Well I sure hope they pay your medical insurance!..

  When I did that I had to pay..it wasn't much but I still had to pay!

  Later when I went on long term I had to take cobra..that was really expensive!

  I finally retired early and kept the cobra as long as I could. I believe it was for 3 years?

  I got screwd out of retiree insurance when they merged with another bank. I didn't find out until AFTER I retired. I was so pissed!!!!!!!

  Does anyone else have high Cholesterol?

  turns out i've inherited this genetic condition whereby my body doesn't regulate cholesterol properly.

  even though i eat quite sensibly and exercise my cholesterol is at 7. i'm not overweight, i don't smoke and i only drink with friends.. now the doctor tells me i have 6 months to bring my cholestorol under control or i'll be on pills (statins?).

  no red meat!

  Wednesday is right. Sugar is the enemy to people with high cholesterol. If your triglycerides(sp?) are high it will raise your bad cholesterol.

  Starches work the same way.They convert to sugar.So if you have a potato..make it small. Cereal..small bowl. Bread..no more than one or two slices a day.

  Lower the Trig. and I bet your cholesterol will come down.

  Fruit has a lot of sugar in it. Especially oranges. Don't over do.

  Be sure to exercise a lot and I really think the water helps. Just again don't overload your body. Your body won't be able to eliminate it possibly.

  Again.I think eliminating stress..excess weight..just eat most things in moderation..and smoking is a no no. Salt retains water..if you don't have a problem with swollen feet or feeling bloated..you should be OK with a moderate amount of salt.I too have heard sea salt is better for you..I don't know why?

  Drivers that get pissed off at people going 45 MPH...

  When I worked in the bank..I learned a lot about disabled people.

  Some people that have disabilities are only allowed by law to go 45 MPH...slow down and pass them when you can if you are in such a hurry.. As someone broght out before they may not even have handicapped plates.But it is on their license.

  Or leave earlier so you don't have to rush...

  I usually go the speed limit or within 5 MPH either way.

  But I am a curtious driver...

  What makes me mad tonight is my daughter! She is always having to borrow money lately. Now her dish TV is cut off and she needs $145.00 to have it turned back on.Now I don't mind it if she needs food or gas...but really..she could get basic cable for $15. a month and extended for $60. a month. But she has to have fancy dish TV with all the movie channels.Which I think is running her about $150. a month.I am starting to feel used!!!!!

  Trouble is when she pays me back she usually has to borrow it back +. She just refuses to budget her money. And I suspect she may be gambling with it.

  Or drugs or alcohol. She has really gained weight lately.

  She is a single Mom and she receives a good child support check every month plus she works and makes a good income.

  I know shes lying about where her money is going but I'm not sure where..

  Time for a heart to heart talk.

  how do you feel about legalizing assisted suicides for people?

  After seeing so many of my loved ones suffer so much before they died..I would strongly support it!

  No pain medicine helps in those last few weeks...

  If someone thinks it does they are wrong. It just makes the patient quieter but I think they still feel the pain. Just can't tell you because they are so doped up.

  Knee Diagnosis is in; Need questions to ask the surgeon

  first of all, thanks for all of you who gave me suggestions for getting around on crutches.

  i've used most of the suggestions with very good results.

  ok. now i finally have a diagnosis (actually diagnoses) for my knee and will meet with a knee specialist on thursday.

  I had a lot of tears repaired a few years ago. (Scope). I had no pain afterwards. It felt so good!..

  They also scraped a lot of arthritis stuff out under the knee cap? (No more sharp pain)

  They didn't really give me any therapy..I was walking on it the next day..(Slowly on crutches.)

  I became so active afterwards..I guess they skipped the therapy..

  But it's doing just fine. Your's sounds a little more complicated though..hope they can do it with just the scope...

  Snoozy..who had some nice happy stuff on the way to the operating room..I was yelling "Yahoo"..ride em cowboy...everyone was laughing at me..

  ps..Still felt pretty good when I came out...

  i once remember an elder telling me about some ex witness who wrote some bad stuff on the internet.

  ive used many expletives in my life, especially when ive hit my finger with a hammer!

  however, ive seen some words and expressions used recently on this board that should be edited-out in my humble opinion!

  okay, if you absolutely need to use a curse word, just put the first letter then some ***.

  Adding curse words doesn't increase your vocabulary it reduces it because they are lazy words.. one size fits all...
  

  People use the same curse words over and over to fit all circumstances.

  Spice would be something original... something descriptive.

  that's right, i was at frys browsing around to kill some time and while i was in the computer section i saw a kid and his dad looking at monitors.

  the kid apparently had never seen a crt monitor before.

  damn... makes me feel old.

  That;s so funny!

  Today I was having one of those frantic days while shopping and when I got to the check out lane I stuck my debit card in my lips while I got my glasses out of their case.

  Then I started to rumage for my card and all I could find was the little envelope..empty..that I kept it in.

  I was thinking ..where did I leave it? Oh great...

  Then it hit me that something was in my mouth...DUH....................
