  If this is true, finally, some peace on Saturday without idiots coming around trying to convert you to a cult. They can send letters all they like. They will end up unopened in the trash can.

  Zoom Memorial

  well i did it.. i attended the zoom memorial ( in respect for my mum).

  it was very strange to say the least.

  everyone had bread and wine at their houses.

  I grew up listening to Jw drivel, Don't care to hear about it as an adult. Can really put the brain dead to sleep. Not me.

  Hoser- yeah, I experienced that too. Was told that I should spend more time on Kingdumb interest instead of running a business because I'm materialistic!?! But when their hooptie ride breaks down they want it fixed right away and on the cheap. Like working on cars is flipping burgers?

  Overrated

  We didn't mind helping people in need. Don't get me wrong. But what gets my goat is the sense that they are a "Pioneer" and they deserve a break in price for service provided. As if my time and skill have little value.

  My Dad and I would work on different "pioneers" vehicles in our kingdumb hell. And to nuts and bolts they where real "hoopties" anytime ready for the crusher. Both my dad and I would work with our skills to keep their cars running since they don't have a real job to get a real working car. It was very frustrating! One pioneer who didn't want to work had a car with bad piston rings. She didn't like our advice on repair or replace on such on old vehicle. And these people always wanted top mechanical work for cheap.

  Just invited to a zoom memorial.

  walked away from the trooth years ago(over 20) my older sister sends me an invite to the memorial via zoom.

  i have no interest in jwism at all.

  should i ignore or respond?.

  • Yup, just too busy that day(taking the wife out) to plug into any crazy zoom meeting. Why go to a virtual dinner party when you can't eat and drink?

  Questions I have about the "Ministry School".

  i remember that jehovah's witnesses used to have a 2-hour, 2-part mid-week meeting which included a 1-hour "ministry school" followed by a 1-hour "service meeting".

  please correct me if i am wrong in any respect but to the best of my memory the ministry school was composed of 4 parts, as follows:.

  part 1: an "instruction talk".

  I wish they would of shorten the damn thing when I was "forced " to go to those meetings growing up. Real straining on a thinking brain.
