C of C Just Arrived

crisis of conscience has just been delivered by mail to my office.

i wouldn't dare let it be delivered to home in case my wife found out.. i am still "in", so the question is, should i read it?

and if so, are my days as a jw numbered?.

I think you should read it but only after you FIRST think about and comprehend what Mary said. Brace yourself for all the emotions that will hit your heart and soul. How anyone with a conscience can view the "Society" the same after reading how they operate is beyond me.

If you have anything else that is stressful going on in your life right now, I'd wait till that passes before reading it. Although I know that's easier said than done. Once you start reading the truth about how the organization behind the name operates, you won't be able to stop till you're finished the book completely. Ray did a wonderful job writing the truth. He told it in a very loving and caring way, as you'll see that NOTHING was easy, because of how much he truly cared for and loved 'the friends". I know that I could never have written as he did. I would have been too bitter to do so.

My thoughts will be with you as you read and I hope you are able to relay your feelings here or to close friends while or after reading it.

4/92 kingdom ministry while the information presented in our kingdom ministry is in the form of suggestions and not rigid rules, it is still a fine source of reference material that should be a part of each congregation kingdom hall library.. .

can you imagine what would happen to jws who have disfellowshipped and da'd family members who didn't obey the rigid rules on how to treat their family members in the august 2002 kingdom ministry?

Can you imagine what would happen to JWs who have Disfellowshipped and Da'd family members who didn't obey the rigid rules on how to treat their family members in the August 2002 Kingdom Ministry? Can you imagine what would happen if an active JW ,upon sitting in front of elders and being counselled for having converstaions with their own df'd relatives, spoke up and said that there is no rigid rule against speaking greetings or talking to their df'd family member. I can just picture the elders referring the person being counseled to the August 2002 KM. Now I can picture the one being couselled referring the elders to the April 92 KM and saying that information in the KMs are only suggestions and not rigid rules. After all...thes KMs sitting in the KH libraries are for references. Sometimes references can serve as buttsavers.

Anyone have any 'suggestions" on what the elders would come up as far as wording the "sin" that such a person would be disfellwshipped for? How would they word the "sin" on the form they send to their leaders/headquarters? This might be fun!!

How about......disfellowshipped for ............

"not having confidence in the suggestions presented in the Kingdom Ministry".

This person has e-mailed many of us here on the board so we all now for sure that he has been lurking here for at least a year. And I love what he said and that you shared his words with us. He doesn't realize that he helps in exposing the WBTS as a liar. What he said proves that this, from what the WT tell the public on it's media site, is just another lie to decieve the public:

No. ................... Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another.

What Greg said was that your family is "out" and because of that, your future will be tempory. You will be destroyed now because you are "out". And we all see that he takes pleasure in this judging of you and your family by his "lol".

BTW....Zev and I got a kick out reading and looking at the pictures from you and your husbands last meeting! I LOVED the shirt too!

Another Little One.....

just stopped by to let you know that we now have grandchild #4, two weeks early.

our second grandson, nicholas keith, born jan. 10th in lexington, kentucky, at 12:44pm, weighing 7 lbs.

15oz., and 21 inches, with very light brown hair.. needless to say, we can't wait to see him!

By killing all disobedient humans, presumably. Why "wholesale"?

The phrase 'wholesale desires" made me laugh. What the heck are wholesale desires anyway? Cheap desires?

I noticed too that the literature being offered this month is all "192 page books published prior to 1988". Are they being told to spread old good news from door-to-door? Are they actually going to ask for donations for it? One major teaching that was still being taught prior to 1988 is that "the bible says that the generation of 1914 will by no means pass away" before armageddon arrives. That was a repetative in most of the liturature. Does anyone out here have or know which books ( even if you know of only a few) were 192 pages and published prior to 1988? Something sounds odd. Why prior to 1988? Why do they want to offer certain old books ?

He has been accused of child molesting but he denies it.

Notice how well the Watchtower Society's "aggressive policy against child molesters" works to protect children in their own congregations?

From the Watctowers media site:

"When any one of Jehovah's Witnesses is accused of an act of child abuse, the local congregation elders are expected to investigate. Two elders meet separately with the accused and the accuser to see what each says on the matter. If the accused denies the charge, the two elders may arrange for him and the victim to restate their position in each other's presence, with elders also there. If during that meeting the accused still denies the charges and there are no others who can substantiate them, the elders cannot take action within the congregation at that time. Why not? As a Bible-based organization, we must adhere to what the Scriptures say, namely, "No single witness should rise up against a man respecting any error or any sin . . . At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses the matter should stand good." (Deuteronomy 19:15)"

Watchtower followers will continue to follow and adhere to the Watchtower's rules at the cost of how many childrens' lives?

first thing i thought when i heard this is, "oh yes they do, i heard it said from the stage at assemblies"!

well a quick search of their cd-rom brings a host of references to the great "whore".

This would have to mean Jehovah's Witnesses too then. They do claim to be a relgion. The only true religion of this world.

Even though I'm a whore of of a different sort, this is what the JW on the aol board said that influenced zev to research the subject. I'm quoting what what the JW said...leaving his or her name out for privacy purposes. This JW was accusing a nonJW as having a "penchant" and not telling the truth. This JW was telling the non-JW that he or she was a liar .

Out of the mouth of an active society worshipper who has never paid attention to what the society has fed him or her.

"You seem to have a penchant not telling the truth. Jehovah's Witnesses do not use of the term "Whore" anywhere in their recorded literature dating back over fifty years which tells me that you were never a Jehovah's Witness."

open marriages, anyone have experience?

well, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.

i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.

it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).

Thanks for warning others by your painful experience. I can't help but to think about the kids.

I enjoyed meeting you and Pierced Angel. It's too bad things did not work out. But as you said, for that kind of a relationship to work, both partners have to want such a marriage.
