It would be better for now if disfwllowshipped one’s being shunned by family got reinstated and joined the JWLITE brigade.

Stan you are right there have always been some hanging on come to meetings occasionally.
This is very different though, this JWLITE thing is for everyone as you don’t need to go door to door anymore. Everything is easier than the 1960s.
Pascal’s wager idea applied to JWLITE is to live as if there is a God and JWs are one of the ideas closest to the truth from his word the Bible then you have nothing to lose by carrying on being physically in but mentally agnostic.
The AGM said you can get through last minute if you want if and when you see all the things happening that the GB say will happen, like governments turn in religion and cry of peace and security. They say only JWs will be the only religious group to break the law once the laws are passed that religious practices are illegal.
I’m almost 100% sure the GB are wrong but what is the harm in waiting to see

Hebrews 11 :1faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
On a scale 1-100 my faith or confidence in what we hope for was up near 100. Now my faith in the Bibles promises the way I used to think I understood them is way down nearer zero. But I still have hope that the Bibles promises may have some merit to them even if we don’t understand them correctly.
This is not living a lie. It doesn’t need to take a physical and mental toll on you if you come to the realisation that we don’t understand as much as we thought we once did.
I think if you are fully PIMI your faith in what the GB say is 100 and then you realise they were wrong about 1914 and then everything else falls apart then yes this would take a mental toll and you may even have a breakdown or kill yourself. This is almost certainly coming to many of the almost 9 million publishers around the world.
But I wonder how many are like me and have realised already that the Bible may be like a jigsaw puzzle. All the pieces scattered and some bunches are being out together and then those bunches seem like they have something to do with each other but then later you realise that was wrong. Actually it was all wrong but you keep trying

It’s seems to be a good place to gather truly great people who have high morals and are trustworthy. Also so welcoming and hospitable it’s so great to have good friends all around the world. Very good place to raise a family with lots of good associations.If you are in need the congregation is always there for each other. Far more than any other similar religious group.I also see a lot of benefits of studying the Bible and trying to live by it, if is the word of God or not -

Before the AGM new light my wife often thought according to current light is that as long as she dies before Armageddon she will be resurrected. What if she is still alive when Armageddon starts? Then she wouldn’t make it into the new world? This is a bit ridiculous when you think about it as Br Jackson says implying in a sarcastic way that we were all idiots for thinking that. But that is what the official doctrine was.
So what is he saying the new doctrine (sorry light) is? Would Zoe’s grandmother be better off dying before Armageddon or not now this new light has come in?
She is in her 90s and has been C.O.E Christian all her life no way she will ever change into a JW. She has dementia getting worse anyway, so is the new light that people like her would make it if they died before but will still make it or not if still alive ?
