Retirement

the difference is now blatantly obvious, older ones who went against direction of the gb and planned for retirement have relatively more comfortable lives.. those who trusted and followed gb direction never got further education or training, pioneered or spent most of their lives knocking on doors for free, making just enough to get by in a part time job.. if you followed direction from the gb then you thought the end was just around the corner so no need to plan for retirement.. now these ones have indeed got old which they were given the impression they never would.

they are a burden on others.

the state has to pay for them in their old age.

There are a lot of assembly items and parts in the meetings lately about living cheaply and being good with money.

We had that watchtower the other day all about keeping your eye simple and just meeting your needs. They made a big deal about the difference between wants and needs.

Basically they know that long time JWs who made sacrifices to follow direction will be struggling in retirement.

the only answer they come up with is that the congregation should look after them. But the entire congregation is also struggling.

will they change the direction and say ok it is wise to think about retirement?

Nobody else understands

if you once were fully pimi and truly believed jw doctrine to the core like i once did, when you come to the reality that it is not the truth at all it can be extremely devastating.. i think only other ex jws could ever understand.

i wasted my entire life i thought the real life was yet to come to wasted the best years knocking on doors.

now i’m so angry.. i can understand why so many top themselves when they realise it was all lies..

Bluesbrother makes me think really deeply about that. This is a question to anyone- If you had the option of taking the Blue pill now and genuinely believing in the Bibles promises again, would you be more happy?

I’m not asking would you chose that I’m asking would you be more happy than taking the red pill?

In my case I was more happy believing than I am now I don’t believe

My family is mentally out but don’t want to lose life long friends and family who are still in.

We are staying JWLITE and hope that others will join us without ever being able to be accused of causing divisions

I’m here on zoom now chatting to everyone and we all know it’s a joke nobody is writing letters. We are just having a get together that’s all.

We can tell nobody is writing letters because they don’t give out territory anymore. The elder just said maybe write to someone you know or something. We are just hearing about someone’s daughter who is getting married soon in another congregation.

It really is just an excuse for a get together. Often times something an interest or sport or something brings people together which is fine. Even if it is not true I like the fact that this JWLITE idea you can have the best of both worlds. One foot in for the good stuff but mostly out and ignore all the stuff you don’t like.

We love the zoom groups. We have one starting now it’s 9am here in London.

We are on zoom now listening to the brother at the same time I’m posting on an Apostate site😁

let’s be honest not many actually write letters it’s just an excuse to have a social get together

People who go to Church every now and then will not be able to relate just how all encompassing and controlling it is to be a JW.

I wish I had known about JWlite all those years I wasted.

Why not be like those church goers and be JWLITE

even elders can be part of the new jw lite brigade these days.

they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.

i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

My wife Zo and I like parts of JW. We love the association and the high moral standards. Although they go overboard with that so we take what we like and disregard the rest.

We like having the Bible as a guide which centres and grounds you.

It’s actually great doing the weekly Bible reading but not just from a JW point of view. We do deep study on what all kinds of Bible scholars say. But we actually love talking to other members of the congregation about the weekly Bible reading and it is very beneficial. At the moment we are going through Job and we have an open mind, if it’s literal or just a story either way it’s interesting to study and see what we can learn from it all.

Also having a hope in something better is better than no hope.

You don’t need to form a break away group called JWlite, this new idea can go along with the regular JWs in the shadows.

Many are already unbeknownst to them part of JWlite, but it’s spreading.

All you have to do is become inactive or almost inactive, do as much or as little as you want or feel like. But don’t leave altogether.

There is absolutely No need to be shunned by everybody remaining. Just become JWlite inactive keeping one foot in the door, just for the good association and because it’s going to be interesting to see the fall of this cult from the inside.

Tony Morris was right when he said That church said these vaccines are from Satans world and are not safe. We know the GB are right these vaccines are from Jehovah and we need to trust him.

After all, would Jehovah encourage his people to get fully vaccinated if these vaccines were not safe?
