  with what is arguably the biggest change to jw life in recent decades (the scrapping of publishers counting hours) what does this lead to?.

  in my mind these are the results;.

  1) a massive decrease in 'preaching hours'.

  Ron’s list with some additions:-

  if the watchtower's plan is to quietly wind the jw religion right down to JWLITE just an almost entirely online religion. The yoke is very comfortable with almost zero load.

  1.The first step, sell as many kingdom halls as possible leaving a skeleton selection of halls that lots and lots of congregations share. Some having to travel a long way. But it’s ok mostly zoom meetings just try to get to in person a few times per year.

  2. Get as many donations on a regular basis from the remaining kingdom halls publishers.

  3.Decrease the regular and auxiliary pioneer hour requirement even more.

  4.Reduce the circuit overseers visit to just a couple of days. Wednesday first ministry group, one midweek meeting and a nice easy weekend.

  5.Get rid of district overseers completely.

  6.Lay off as many at bethel worldwide as possible. Send them back to the field and wash their hands of them, ask members of congregations to look after them.

  7.Reduce the meetings to mainly just watching prepared videos. No preparation needed to take any item.

  8.Remove the requirement to count time and submit a monthly report.

  9.Allow brothers to have a beard.

  10.Cart witnessing and informal park and public place witnessing replaces door to door work. Door to door is only done very seldom for ten mins at a time.

  11.Electronic books and magazines and the jw website heavily promoted.

  12.Stop printing the wt and awake and release just a few copies a year - or rehash older copies for the public.

  13. New light on shunning and disfellowshipping. If person may feel suicidal then don’t have JD, meaning hardly anyone is ever needed to be shunned ever again, Elders ask each other could this make them feel suicidal? Better to be on safe side don’t disfellowship anymore.

  14. The big one new light on 1914. “We can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”

  maybe Michael was not Jesus, we just don’t know. Maybe the battle in heaven did not happen in 1914 we just don’t know.

  isn’t it wonderful how Jehovah reveals new light just at the proper time.

  15. Last minute placing your bets is fine. You can wait to see if their horse comes in or not, then place your bets after. So you can’t lose. If what JWs says starts to happen you can place your bets after, until then place your bets that JWs are wrong. This new lite at 2023AGM changes everything.

  Did they really forbid oral sex ect ect? I seem to remember them saying oral sex is still sex and some may conclude it’s not going all the way but it definitely is. But I don’t remember them saying it was forbidden for married couples?

  I think they did say anal sex and rim jobs were wrong and tried to forbid them, but then they said something about it is not for us to get too involved in private matters- too late!

  Ron I think all of those are happening now. CO visit is just a few days a week. He has Monday and Tuesday off, first min group is Wednesday. Then Thursday meeting in the evening then Friday elders meeting and the weekend ministry

  I would add

  13. New light on shunning, why do we now allow allow talking to disfellowshiped ones? Same as beard’s because the Bible doesn’t tell us not to.

  this afternoon just after lunch.

  i spotted 2 of the nicer elders in the congregation walking up the drive.

  i didn’t answer the door.

  At least there will be no awkward situations if you don’t end up getting shunned. I have heard if so many awkward situations. Even in business or holidays or travel, even a taxi driver refused things like due to shunning.

  I do understand the appeal a sticking a middle finger upto the elders and doing a hard exit.

  But you can still do a middle finger upto the elders and soft exit. I like the idea someone said on here to shun the elders who you choose to. And make a point of it right to their face walk away and go a speak to someone else who you think a lot of. Treat the elders like they will treat you if you are shunned.

  if asked you can quote the same scriptures they quote when justifying shunning, not saying a greeting to such a one ect. You feel they are not living upto the scriptures of what Jesus taught and you obey God rather than man. Turn the tables on them but keep control don’t let them shun you is the best

  I strongly agree middle ground is best. If there are weddings or funerals coming up you will find it easier if you are not shunned

  there could be any number of situations where you wish you faded or just became inactive

  for me and so we chose middle ground JWLITE so we still turn on zoom meetings and ministry groups and love to chat to our friends and even go in person on seldom occasions

  hi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

  I like the sound of JWLITE, there are some really great peeps in the jw cult, and having invested so many years into the cult and having got to know so many good folks, I don’t want to leave completely.

  I look forward to seeing the slow demise of this evil cult and I want to be there for the good folks who are genuinely good people. They won’t talk to anyone they have been told to shun, that’s why a slow fade or choose JWLITE is better than being shunned forever by every single physically in JW.

  That is so powerful and so true.

  Everything about the Borg is follow direction and obey no matter what, even if you don’t understand just follow direction no matter what.

  I remember lots of wTowers giving experiences of those who said they didn’t understand direction but followed it then later they were so please they did.

  just obey no matter what is the message. Take the vaccine no matter how many people it’s damaging still go and get your booster shots

  I know why there is a lot of hatred of LE. But nobody is perfect and all of us here can understand how being a former JW can really mess you up and mess up your life.

  He messed up his marriage by hiring prostitution on a semi regular basis and he has narcissistic traits when dealing with others.

  But on a positive note he has done a lot of good for the ex JW community. There have been many videos over the years that have made me and others think. In fact he has put two and two together with lots of previous knowledge that has been very very powerful in proving that this is a man made organisation.

  If I ever met Lloyd I would be grateful for all he has done, I would overlook his many shortcomings and cut the guy some slack.

  He is obviously hurting and he must feel trapped now having alienated half the ex JW community.

  I wish there could be a truce, what if he really was sorry and dropped the stupid lawsuit and then mag 7 said they accepted his apology and everyone moved on.

  what if there could be some unity in the ex JW community again.

  I think the ex JW community is coming close to bringing and end to this evil cult, but it’s messed up the lives of so many and it’s such a shame

  i'm looking for an explanation why the gb has made a radical change on the issue of vaccinations.

  was there pressure from outside?

  were there any financial or other benefits to promoting experimental genetic therapy?.

  I remember during the height of covid all the religious leaders seemed to be saying Gods wants you take the vax, it’s an act of love to take the shots.

  Some were leaking that all these religions were threatened with losing tax exemption charitable status unless they pushed the vaccine on all their followers.

  this leaked video seems to confirm it.
