very touching story amazing. We had a person with similar issues who we would bring to our hall all the time. I think eventually everybody lost interest in him and stopped bringing him...it was very sad. I felt bad for the poor guy..

Can any Witness possibly anwser this question?
by jerome inhello all... i came across this line of questioning many months on the inet so i decided that i would submit just this once to peer pressure and make a usefull contribution to the board.. here is the question... is jesus just "a god?".
many of the regular inet surfers would have come across this line of questioning before so if you have you could just sit back and relax and read the replys.. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>.
me: so is he a 'lesser true god' or a 'lesser false god?'.

you've made another very good point moxy. It seems silly and disrespectful to me to try to apply our mathematics to something so far beyond our comprehension as God.

I just wanted to say that AlanF is correct in his multiplication argument...vectors, dot products, cross products...when dealing with complex systems the answer is not as easy as you think.

Who's Greg Stafford
by Room 215 indoes anyone know greg personally?.
i'm intrigued by the comments made regarding the recent release of his dissertations, and can't help but adimre him for the nobility of his intent.
it seems to me he's a victim of the delusion that the beliefs of jws are intellectually defensible and can withstand the test of empiricism and hard, objective scrutiny.. i can't help but wonder how he's regarded by his peers in the local congregation, the local elders ad circuit overseer whether he holds any jw office (elder, ministerial servant, etc), whether he gives lectures, parts on the meeting, etc.

farkel: your window washing statement reminded me of a couple congregations in Maryland. I'm making no exaggeration when I say that 3/4 of the brothers in those congregations washed windows for a living. There was at least 4 brothers that owned their own window washing companies, and the rest of them worked for them. What a life...I couldn't bring myself to do that for the rest of my life...when you have so many opportunities today to do something that you really enjoy doing, why settle for window washing?
