  I'm sure you mother does still loves you and probably thinks about you every day. Perhaps you could suggest a relationship whereby you don't talk about the religion, see if she's receptive to that at all.

  I thank you for the suggestion. She however wants me to keep continue to keep my distance, as I have for the last eight years. Business only. While I would like to oblige her wishes out of respect, I feel it is no longer possible after several events have occurred. Therefore I will slowly work to remind them that they do have three children, not just two. Maybe eventually I will get to the place where I can suggest your alternative to her. I hope so. Thank you so much.

  I understand how you must feel. I had a family member like that, and I'm glad he's gone. He brought nothing but pure emotional torture and heartache to our family. My heart goes out to you. Keep well and good luck to you.

  Thank you all for your posts and your concern. I have read them over and over and they are a comfort to me. It has been a very emotional time for me. I couldn't even respond to your posts until now. It just hurt to much to write anything else up unitl now.

  Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I would love to call her, but they are vagabond retirees and I never know where they will be. I have a mail drop service that can be used to reach them, but they want to keep all contact as business only. Still, sending them a nice card every once in a while might help me, at least. And whereas they cannot contact me except for business, there is no law that says that I have to do the same, is there? Besides, I have evidence that there is a lot of business they have withheld from me. So why should I follow their rules when they don't.

  Post cards might also work well. And the nice thing about them is that it is out in the open for all to see and read the sentiment on the card.

  I just woke up from a nap. In the dream I had, I was with my mother. I was talking with her. We talked about everyday things as we always had. She was so real. Then I woke up, and she was gone!

  Right now, I would do anything to be with her again. We were so close. I talked to her about so many things. She sang to me when I was little.

  You are my sunshine,
  My only sunshine,
  You make me happy,
  When the skies are gray,
  You'll never know dear,
  How much I love you,
  Please don't take my sunshine away.

  The other night dear,
  When I was sleeping,
  I dreamt I held you in my arms,
  But when I woke dear,
  I was mistaken,
  And I hung my head,
  And I cried.

  As I sit here with tears streaming down my face, I think of how prophetic that song was of our relationship. Little did I know then that the love she sang of was very conditional love. How perverted and twisted for the wonderful love of a parent and child to be so cruelly twisted and withheld as the terrible punishment by a religious cult. How effective that punishment is! What kind of twisted minds could invent such a hideous psychological and emotional torture? What adds to the pain I feel right now is the fact that she too has suffered these last 8 years.

  Mom, if you somehow see these words, I love you very very much and unconditionally. I miss my Mom so much!

  Tiring of Anti-JW causes?

  i'm kind of burnt out from being pissed off at jws.

  tonight, while talking to a friend who left at the same time i did (several years ago), we both spoke of our apathy towards the whole anti-witness movement.

  recently i helped in several anti-jw actions, and i thought i made a difference, although it was a pittens compared to others who have come before.

  I think it does help. I started having big doubts when I heard about Ray Franz in the 80's. Also, I saw the hidden pictures in the Wt illustrations. Those gave me big doubts. I started to listen more to my own feelings rather than the steady stream of JW propaganda.

  But really, regardless of who it helps, you need to do it for you. Don't do it if it is going to be a great burden. That's just like having to go out in the Field Ministry in the pouring rain. Do it because it makes you feel good to help others. If it doesn't feel healthy any longer, then cut down or back out.

  All to often we push ourselves to the limit because that's what we were taught as JWs. It wasn't healthy then, and it isn't healthy now. It is just hard to unlearn some of those behaviors. But take care of yourself first. That's something you can learn.

  Anyway, for what it's worth, whatever part you played in getting me out and recovered, I truly thank you.
