I have to agree with you about sitting on the sidelines. I like the people here. For me this is a good forum and I need it to deal with some issues. I don't know enough about the arguements going on. I just know that this board has been very good for me. So I resist getting involved in the personal attacks. Hey, it just occurred to me! I guess that makes me a Jehovah's Bystander!

When people first pointed out these pictures in the 1980's after a book study one night, they said it was apostates. I began to wonder though, apostates or not, why would Jehovah let this come through in the Watchtower if it was such a direct medium of his holy spirit. That's when I first started having doubts.

connie interviewed the aunt of one of the victims as well as weaver's ex-wife.
there are so many sickening things about this case.
My husband and I drove up to my nephew's house today. On the way we passed Weaver's house. It was very touching to see the many cards, balloons, teddy bears, etc. placed as a memorial to the two young women who were killed. All of these months we were driving down that road past the very spot where they had been secretly buried. It is on a busy road right across the street from a big shopping center. To think that they were murdered so close to so many people who wanted to help them, yet no one ever knew.
It makes me reflect on all of the hidden cases of child molestation. They happen in secret. Sometimes they are barely hidden, barely covered over. They are happen so close that you probably pass by the victims each and every day and do not even know of their secret shame. It is such a tragedy. With only a little digging you might be able to help someone. If you suspect a child is being abused, please contact the proper authorities (the police, not the elders). Get these kids the help they need before it is too late.
What a monster Ward Weaver is! I know there is supposed to be innocence until proven guilty in this country, but I can't help thinking he is guilty. How could anyone else have snuck onto his property, buried the bodies in his back yard, and then poured new cement over them? Obviously he knew. Obviously he did it.
Watch out for these monsters for the sake of our kids. I am not proposing a witch hunt; we must be careful not to falsely accuse the innocent. But watch for the signs and trust your instincts. They are probably right.

what do you all do with your free time now guys..like hobbies and what not..like you pioneers there is 75 hrs you have to play around with if you know what i mean not to mention meetings and bible studying etc.

she was divorcing her husband, found herself lonely and hurting and turned to a brother for comfort.

anyone remember the one where kirk got mixed up in the transporter and spit into two people?
one kirk was mean and violent and nasty and tried to feel up yoman rand and swore a lot and attacked people for no good reason.
the other kirk was sweet and nice and he seemed better, but he was kind of a woosie and couldn't make a decision or do anything meaningful except talk about denuvian slime bread toppings and he couldn't even get a bulge in the spandex for yoman rand, but at least he was polite.. gosh, i don't know what made me think of this episode.. night all,.
Oh yes! I loved the original series because of it's forward thinking message to the 60's. "Hey, it's time to grow up and start treating everyone with respect and as equals. We can all contribute something. Our diversity makes us stronger."
I liked all of the series, but the original series was all we had for 20 years. It seems simplistic looking back, but it was very radical back then.

of course i know that many of you here do not believe in the bible and its promise of a resurrection.
some of you do not even believe in a creator.
but those of you apostates that still do believe in a resurrection back to life, you would no doubt agree that not everyone of those who are resurrected will come back to life all at once.
Yes, Lefty, I see your point about the word "all," but I thought your god was supposed to be all powerful or almighty. So he couldn't ressurect everbody at the same time?
