I'm here to learn how our enemies think. Apostates DO have an advantage against their former brothers. The advantage is that they know how JWs think and what they believe. They know what scriptures the JWs will use to defend their faith. With that advantage, they can simply shut the JW up by saying "I know what you're going to say...". It doesn't make the apostate right, but it will confuse the JW. I am here to turn that advantage around, I have read all the arguments used by Apostates against JWs. Now when a fellow Witness comes to me with doubts, I know the evil twisted reasonings of apostates and I use that advantage to save my brother. Apostates might convince faithless JWs, or JWs with low self-esteem or JWs that are struggling with wanting to conform to the world, but you will never convince or destroy the faith of anyone of my brothers and sisters in the congregation I attend.

Question for SwordofJah
by happyout ingiven that your wts has frequently warned its members to stay away from the internet, and that bad association spoils useful habits, why is it that you persist in posting on this site, which is quite obviously populated by those that are disfelloshipped, disassociated, or, at the very least, spiritually weak?
if you lived near one of the more vocal posters would you willingly be seen by your body of elders having a conversation with them?
or, is it the ease of anonymity that allows you to be such a hypocrite and flaunt the rules of the organisation you pathetically claim to follow?

My Letter to the Elders in My Late Father's Congregation
by cruzanheart inwell, guys, here it is.
it's going in the mail tomorrow.
it's for me but, dad, it's also for you.

cruzanheart:
I am responding to this thread because you gave me the opportunity in another thread. Let me start by saying that I recognized the names you mention in the letter. I personally know the Cicuit Overseer and I was very surprised to read his response to your father. Although it's hard to judge him since I don't know exactly how the conversation went. But, I AM very sorry for your loss. Your dad seems like a man trying to do the right thing while circumstances were tough. Please be assured that Jehovah loves your dad and will not forget him. I also lost one of my parents, and it is very comforting to think of the hug I'm going to give him, when I welcome him in the resurrection. I'm sure you have thought of the day, you welcome him back. Like you say in the letter, if the elders mistreated your dad, they WILL have to answer to Jehovah. I pray that Jehovah comforts you during this time.

Why do people go back after being DFed?
by Lady Lee ini was reading swordofjah's post about a young lady who went back after 8 months and got reinstatedthis past tuesday, a young sister (21 years old) was reinstated after 8 months.
she was always very nice and upbeat, but made a few wrong turns in her life.
i talked to her a bit after the meeting and she was telling me that before being disfellowshipped she had been consumed by her actions, just didn't feel any joy in serving jehovah.

Ladylee:
You are a very good writer. You psycho analysis does make sense. As a Witness, I look at the results. The results is that she's back in Jehovah's Organization and feels good about herself because she was able to overcome her obstacle. For it, she's a better Christian and fully trusts Jehovah God. Her relationship with Jehovah is now stronger than ever. That's what I got from my conversation with her.

JW Disfellowshipping Is a SIN Against God!
by minimus inone of the signs of the "last days" is that there would be "no natural affection" shown.
people would be "self-assuming, haughty, disloyal, without love of goodness, headstrong, puffed up with pride, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power,(and from these turn away).
"......does this not describe jehovah's witnesses today???

Disfellowshipping without shunning, yeah that's real discipline. Get real man. By your comments, you show that you don't know Jehovah. Sad.

Your reasoning do not match with those of Jehovah God:
"7
It is for discipline YOU are enduring. God is dealing with YOU as with sons. For what son is he that a father does not discipline? 8 But if YOU are without the discipline of which all have become partakers, YOU are really illegitimate children, and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we used to have fathers who were of our flesh to discipline us, and we used to give them respect. Shall we not much more subject ourselves to the Father of our spiritual life and live? 10 For they for a few days used to discipline us according to what seemed good to them, but he does so for our profit that we may partake of his holiness. 11 True, no discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous; yet afterward to those who have been trained by it it yields peaceable fruit, namely, righteousness." -

Are you better than Jehovah?
by Bona Dea ini was thinking the other night (my head is still hurtingcould you imagine having the power to stop it and choosing not to?
i kept thinking, if i could die so that no other innocent person should have to suffer, then i would.
most people would, i think.

I've always enjoyed the following illustration in "Live Forever" book:
"Have not parents who truly love their children permitted them to undergo a painful operation to correct some problem? Yes, the permission of temporary suffering has often made it possible for children to enjoy better health later on in life. "
So as parents we do allow our children to suffer so that a problem can be repaired or permanently fixed.

I did think the same thing when I heard about the crime, but then I tried to see it from Jehovah's viewpoint. Since he has the power to resurrect those children in a better setting, it wasn't necessary to intervene at this time. It's obvious that the mother is crazy or suffering from sort of mental problem, so it must have been a nightmare for those children to live in that situation. Jehovah has the power to change that in the New System and those children will be better off at the end.

Do You Expect To See Your Loved Ones In The Resurrection?

When I read threads like this one and see the lack of hope it makes me very sad. Why is it I can see it, and you all can't?
