the answer posted on jw.org: "no.
many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t jehovah’s witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation.
additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve god, and they too will gain salvation.
Jamex Mixon, let's start with the fact that a normal God would destroy Satan right after Adam and Eve's sin (not that they actually lived anyway...) Like... are we actually supposed to believe that God didn't destroy Satan because He was afraid (er... God is afraid...?) that His other subjects would rebel as well...?
Right... Satan is destroyed because God is stronger. Adam and Eve die because Satan is wrong and God is right. Therefore, God's angels knowingly rebel because they know that God is right and is stronger and thus can destroy them within seconds.
For now, I will leave the analogy of the rebellious student in a class alone... (You know which one... the student rebels against the teacher and stuff...)
spanish branch starts to be nervous since a few days.
clear and detailed child abuse accusations has been posted on spanish forum:.
http://www.extj.com/showthread.php?28145-la-marikamaladealella-y-sus-cómplices&p=513578#post513578.
Is some Spanish organisation like the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse that is in Australia going to be investigating the Watchtower policies in Spain? (Note that I am not asking whether the ARC will be investigating the Spanish branch. I am asking whether some Spanish organisation that takes care of such policies in Spain will be investigating Watchtower. I hope I was understood...)
Thanks in advance for any response.
i recently noticed that i have a new message from someone in my inbox.
here's a screenshot for you guys to make sure we're on the same page:.
so now that you know what inbox is......... the problem is that when i click on the letter icon surrounded by the green bubble of wisdom and life and good and bad and... wait, no... er... anyway, when i click on it to see the message, this is what i get:.
Yeah, it works! Thanks for fixing it, Simon.
i keep seeing new light everywhere its hard to keep up with the latest is there a spot where someone is keeping track of it all for everyone to see?.
Watchtower publications, broadcasting, and letters sent to congregations are the media of communicating the new light. And the announcements on assemblies.
I think?
i just read the scripture then went and checked in thier older bible and it read the same so i check the greek interlinear and yes they changed john 3:16 .
the verse reads "all who believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life" the cult version says "exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life".. so not only do they say one must exercise faith meaning having to work for it but also they changed should not perish but having everlasting life to might not be destroyed again making a caveat where one does not exist.
just to add to the point verse 18 in both bibles says the one having faith is not judged, totally blowing up thier version of 16 but of course they change 18 to say exercising faith too but it makes little difference, since it says not judged.
steve2 - It would be revealing to see what, if anything, the organization has specifically said about the rationale for its unique rendering.
I assume they would just cite Paul's words—something to the effect of, "Faith without works is dead." They'd say that since Paul believed it, Jesus evidently must have believed that as well. It's not like they were evidently two separate persons, right?
Right...
Finkelstein - The leaders of this organization have always said they were the " only " true and correct preachers of the Gospel, faithfully loyal to God and guided by his holy spirit.
Er... no...? Where did you get that from? Everyone knows that the organisation have always said they were evidently the only true and correct preachers of the "gospel," that they were evidently faithfully loyal to God, and also that they were evidently guided by his holy spirit.
Sorry... I evidently couldn't resist.
i have been out and away from that cult since 2001. back then there were 12 members of the governing body, and now i'm learning that number has come down to 7. when did this change take place, and what was their reason for dropping the number?.
The 7 killed the other 5 thinking that if the rank and file members saw a decrease in the number of the Governing Body members, they'd be convinced that...

Thanks, jaydee. I haven't seen your post. By the way, another person messaged me, and I still can't open the inbox :D
hi guys.
it's been about 4 or 5 weeks since i was disfellowshipped.
so far it's been easy, i enjoyed being left alone, no one bothering me, no one telling me i need to do more, need to reach out, questioning why i didnt go on the ministry, and the fact that my ex-wifes family cant talk to me even if they wanted to.
Giordano - Something else occur's to me re your attendance at their KH. Will it reinforce that the JW's are a part of her life and she has her father's approval by virtue of his regular attendance? Will it bother her that no one talks to her Dad?
Would it be better to simply expose her to the great life you are going to live?
I would have to agree.
my brother (a jw for 30 years) and i purchased a duplex.
he lives in one house, i live in the other, our common area separating both houses is the backyard.
we both can see each other's house across our common backyard.
never a jw - If my estimates help me right, it wasn't 10 minutes before the text, it was more like 1/2 hour of socializing
Your brother must be really "zealous" :D
never a jw - JW's are usually quite pleasant, as long as they don't turn on their doom-and-gloom-for-everyone-but-us switch. I actually will consider bringing some nice pastries filled with apostate poison.
Be careful :D They might think you're responding to the 'truth."
No, seriously, they might... They are often told that when somebody is showing kindness to Jehovah's Witnesses—as opposed to persecuting them (because... you know... everybody is persecuting them)—then that person must be interested in the "truth."
Darryl - By the way has there ever been anyone in history who was not aux or reg pioneering that when asked that question-how long did you plan on being out this morning responded "At least till 2:30 3:00."
When I was still an active unbaptised publisher, I would actually respond by saying, "At least until [time]," hoping that the person I'm talking to would be willing to preach with me for at least a bit longer. I was actually quite "zealous" as for an unbaptised publisher when I thought it was the "truth." Once I spent the whole Christmas break preaching as a 16-year-old. I think I got 50 hours in two weeks. But when I found out I was wrong... well... it was either "Quit!!!" or "Be deceived."
