  first: do the watchtower calendars say "share in field ministry" on every saturday or "share in the field ministry"?

  I have heard many JW elders & CO refer to the organization as "Mother" over the years, but never momma.

  Colorado Flooding Near My House

  here are some picture in my neighborhood.. our house was not affected.

  there is possibly more flash flooding expected tonight.. in the picture below our house sits at the bottom right corner about 2 blocks out of frame.

  Just a few years back it was hoped and speculated that after the old guard GB members died off that the next generation of younger GB might get more liberal. It seems that just the opposite is what is actually happening.

  This type of paranoid propaganda may have worked better before the interenet. I think however that in the long run it will work against the desired results that they seek.

  Maybe they are going to promote Farkel to the Governing Body and give him his own column in the Watchtower magazine.

  Rumor is the column will be called: Questions from Dipf*ck Readers.

  That is my take on it but not for sure. I know of one convicted murder who became a JW while in prison in Marion IL. He converted after he married a local JW sister in that area.

  The JWs were allowed to go in the prison for weekly WT studies and were allowed to baptise inmates.

  it's depressing.

  i am trying to call and stay in touch and act like everything is okay, but its really starting to depress me.

  my dad doesn't call or text.

  I think older JW are deep down discouraged and depressed because the promised paradise has not come as promised and expected. However they have so much invested they can't face the TATT leading to deeper depression cycle. It's really sad to watch and not be able to do anything about it.

  focus on making your own life as happy as you can.

  I can relate. I am not DF or DA, yet my brother has not spoke to me in years. Two of my grandchildren came into foster care in my home. I talk some with my JW father and tell him that theses children my come up for adoption... He then repeats this to my brother.

  I receive a call from my brother after 10 years of shunning me, he does not bother to ask how I or my family have been, but instead goes right into 20 questions about MY grandchildren.

  is there anything wrong with them?

  Did the mother do any drugs?

  Do the parents have any mental issues?

  Was there any complications with the pregnancy?

  At this point I became so mad I hung up on him, I called my father to ask him why my brother was calling me and asking these questions.

  Turns out they were gossiping about it and my father proceeds to tell me that he wanted to take MY grandchildren so the could be raised in "the truth".

  The WT sucks the humanity out of members for anyone not in the cult. And they say we are mentally deaseased. Sheesh!
