I didn't know he was lost.
Oh, there he is...
by looking at cdn court cases.. i knew i would find him if i persisted.. there is clear evidence, in my view, that beginning some time, probably in early 2010, but perhaps earlier, that mr. jones developed a delusional disorder with a primary religious focus.
mr. jones accounting of the development of his belief that he is jesus christ, is consistent with the known development of psychotic disorders.
mr. jones describes a period of time where he felt that he had some greater purpose or was meant for something important although he was unable to really identify what that was.
I didn't know he was lost.

99% of all funerals that i have attended have been the wt version, where they preach about the resurrection into paradise and say little about the person who passed other than they were loyal to jah.
the other 1% catholic for grandparents.. now that i consider myself an atheist, i got to wondering what do atheists plan for when they die?.
if you are a non-believer what are your plans for when you die?
Cofty: I feel exactly the same way. I don't want any WOO WOO, but at that point it's not all about what I want anymore. It really is a puzzle.
Aaron Freeman: You illistrate the puzzle quite well. The Physicist would speak truth, but that would provide little comfort to those still here.

Cantleave: I guess donating your blood to science is a good way to thumb your nose at the WT.
Phizzy: I agree with your thought of disposed of the body, most ecologically sound way possible. I would prefer that over being put in the ground. Good to know there are some places that would do a non religious service.
Bigmac: If I could afford it, I would love to be put into a pod and ejected into space to travel through the solar systems.
OneEyedJoe: I agree that most traditions for for the living not the dead. So you won't mind if they throw up a JW funeral for you? That is the last thing I would want.

If you are a non-believer what are your plans for when you die? Will you be burried or cremated? Will you have any service of any type?
can someone explain in easy to understand language what this argument is all about.
i am not that clever.
i am hoping to talk to the elders about this as well as whoever is willing to talk about it on here.
I was turned in to the elders by my ex-wife when I started to question this doctrine.
I told the elders the only reason I questioned it was because I was reading one of my childrens home schooled history books and was shocked to see something other than what I thought was fact.
When they asked my the loyalty questions, I said the GB was probably correct, but if not, i'm sure Jah would provide new light.
That kept them from going any further with sanctions.
how many times have you asked a jw who has attended a public talk how the talk was, only to be told it was so great!
yet they cannot remember the title nor any one single point except that the brother was "funny" or was good with illustratiions or some other vauge point?
and conventions weren't far off either.
Jehovah will forgive you for not remembering any of the program as long as you don't forget to donate $$$.

skin-tight pants are a no-no in public, church leader says,.
i refer to this thread where a poster said that if we ring bethel they confirm that the 2 witness rule no longer applies to cases of paedophilia anymore.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/child-abuse/286880/1/consider-the-outcome-when-elders-apply-the-two-witness-rule.
it has been commented that the watchtower(r) spokespersons may make statements to placate the public or press but the actual reality is very different in reality.. i am interested in having a collection of these lies or spin in one thread (probably been done before).. i list firstly the article about 'mentally diseased apostates' from the uk press.. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/war-of-words-breaks-out-among-jehovahs-witnesses-2361448.html.
see what jw spokesperson rick fenton says against what the reality is.. .
They lied to the government of Bulgaria about the blood policy..
some might assume that a scientifically-minded person would pick evolution and that a religious person would pick creation.
but not always.. rama singh, professor of biology at canadas mcmaster university, says: the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.
.
end-of-quote in awake.
Standard operating proceedure for the JW.ORG cult. It is shocking to most, once they see this tactic for the first time. But once you know it's a method they use intentionally, then it really does not shock anymore.
I tried to read a couple months of WT rags to see if I could do the same to them and partially quote the WT to say something they did not intend. I could not find anything. I think they even write in a way to prevent others from doing this to them.
at our service meeting we saw the video of a jw explaining his beliefs about 1914.. it was.....well, "underwhelming" does not do it justice.
what is below "underwhelming"?
"boringly tepid"?.
Wow!
Bringing this back up instead of letting it die with all of the information available on the net, tells me that the GB is [more] _____________ than I have previously given them credit for.
A) Dumber
B) Deluded
C) Evil
Maybe a combination of all three?
