I put a bumper sticker on the back of my car that said
"Real men love Jesus"
That got em talking.
there's one sure-fire way to tip off your jw friends and family that you're leaning apostate.... just stop insisting on calling jehovah "jehovah" all the time.
call him "god" more often.
talk about raised eyebrows and mumbled conversations over in the corner!

HenryP, Yes I have, but your religious leaders say it only applies to some 8,000 people on earth today.
According to your religious leaders Jesus is only the mediator for those 8,000 persons. The rest must be mediated through the WTBTS of NY.
So the next time you pray at the meeting, why don't you pray in the name of the WTBTS of NY?
i visited an old congregation i used to go to awhile back.. they posted their accounts report on the bulletin board.. about 370 bucks went to the worldwide work, total.. i can remember 800 to over a thousand bucks for books and magazines.
being sent to the society per month - about 20 yrs.
ago.. subtract inflation and it's even worse.. meanwhile, the young boys are out in the parking lot,.
For those who are still attending meetings can do their part by taking as many magazines and books as possible and don't contribute any $ for them.
Sorry about your loss.
We loose the ones we love way too soon. My condolenses.

do you want to read this year's memorial talk outline?
of course you can, and you can naturally find it on the watchtower observer :).
yachyd da.
Is this outline any different than any other year? It seem that most of the talk is devoted to why most should not partake.
I guess they have to keep the numbers down.

Hello Kent,
I have noticed that several other JW friendly web sites have removed the daily text from the site because of letters they received from the WTS telling them this it was copywritten materials. Some of them even posted the letter from the WTS on the site.
Some of them compained that the WTS should put it up on their own site if they reject to others putting it on theirs.
I was wondering if you have ever received any letters like this for your site from the WTS and if so what was you response to them if any?
Regards, stealth
with a friend suddenly confronted with the prospect of being disfellowshiped recently it got me wondering about how an elder feels the first time he disfellowships someone.. the first time you disfellowshiped someone was there regret?
sadness?
or a sense of justice?.
This is one reason I have always been vocal as to why I would never want to be an elder when I was active.
As an imperfect human I could never sit on a JC and judge another imperfect human. I prefer to leave the to Jesus.
Question; Can an elder refuse to participate in a JC if it bothers his conceince, or would he be pressured to do so?
How many do you think will partake this year?
We could start an "anointed pool" $1 or $5 per guess, whoever gets closest wins the pot.

i have been doing the fade for about a year now from the jw religion.. today i atteneded the service of a non-denominational church and my dub ex-wife's boss was there and saw me.. so i fully expect that by tomorrow that the local gestapo elders will be aware of the fact that i was at another church.
what do you want to bet i will be getting a shepherding call next week, even though i have not seen these loving bothers in many months.
what a joke!.
Thanks to all for the replies.
I think I will try the avoid them routine for as long as I can.
If I have to I will repent, with my fingers crossed. ;)
But I am sure they will be watching to see if I return so I won't be going back there for now.
It is really a shame that people have to live like this.
