Thanks Zev. Yes, unfortunately it now reflects my genuine opinion - I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I've learned from my various encounters with Dubs that they are just so well trained to avoids true answers to questions that the resulting answers are quite simply untruths.
Ask them about shunning: It's "loving"
Ask them about blood transfusions: It's a "conscience matter"
Ask them about paedophilia: It's all in other religions
Ask them why they sell the mags: They're "free".
They're many more ways in which the untruth unfolds, but not in ways which can be expressed as simple one-liners as above. I'm reminded of a quote from Yes, Minister: "He's the sort of person who can follow you into a revolving door and come out first" - the slippery twisty logic of the Dubs strikes me in exactly that way.
It's all Brooklyn's fault of course, for making their people that way, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with their agents.
And, yes, I do have a certain similar feeling towards salespeople too! LOL

It's really this part of the Watchtower's approach to this whole thing which really makes me angry. They come to the door and say how full of paedophiles the other churches are and how clean they are due to their disfellowshipping policy. Now it appears they have been caught playing exactly the same game - it makes me sick!

I suppose since you put it that way, especially since they said all that stuff "officially" about forgiveness. I just found myself on the side of the victims in that one, even if they are your typically loving (until no-one's looking) Dubs.

Oh, bullshit, Kent! If some arsehole ran over someone I knew and then made rude gestures at me and acted like a prick during the court proceedings, saying things like "I'm gonna get y'all", I'd like to beat the stuffing out of him too. This is one case where the Dubs ARE the agrieved party and I didn't understand why you thought this reflected badly on them. People ARE allowed to feel angry, you know!
