Governments always use times of crisis to grab power in ways which would normally be unpalatable to the populace:

Here come the torches and pitchforks
by FrightMare inhttp://www.boston.com/dailynews/277/nation/schools_and_local_governments_:.shtml .
a week after the attacks, the hamilton county commission in chattanooga, tenn., voted to post the ten commandments in city and county government buildings.
if a court frowns on the action, commission chairman bill hullander said, 'i would sure not want to be the person to walk up there and pull the nail out of it, so to speak, and take it down.

Can't get it here, but I imagine it was just another of Hitler's mad projects, not unlike attempts by the Nazis to find the spear which pierced Jesus and the Holy Grail. We've had numerous "experiments" in remote viewing here, and noone has come close. Anyone who does, I recommend you go here: http://www.randi.org/research/index.html and attempt to claim the $1m. Noone has been able to claim it yet, so I get the feeling that psychic powers are either very thin on the ground, or are fleeting in such a way that they don't work when you really need them to.

I thought only the disabled and elderly got the "privilege" of alternatives to physically going out in field service. Why does the-artist-futurely-known-as-an-apostate get special treatment?
On another note, the presence of gibberish in a field service presentation does not necessarily preclude him from the ranks of loyal Dubdom.

After years of reading self-help pop-psychology books which promised all sorts of miracle results, I'm now reading "How to Lose Friends and Infuriate People", by Jonar C Nader (an Australian, in case you haven't guessed) :^)

I've had Dubs tell me that the council held in Jerusalem in Acts 15 was it. I asked them why, then, did the apostle Paul disobey their directives? If you look at Paul's version of the council in Galatians 2, he reports an entirely different set of directives from those reported in Acts (being mindful of the poor instead of abstaining from blood, for example). In other words, he felt free to discard their constraints as being advice, rather than as commandments.

"GET THE WBTS OUT OF THE UN" Pickets
by MadApostate insince it has been several years since i attended an assembly/convention, i don't know if some of you folks are still picketing such, .
the upcoming special assembly this sunday would seem to be a great opportunity to spread this un issue to the jw r&f.. can't you just hear the "buzz" in the hallways:.
"why are the apostates holding signs saying, 'get the wbts out of the un'"?.

Jbean,
Fred's not a Dub; he's actually anti, and uses this persona and posting style to so anger people against the WBTS that they vow to continue the fight until even the last "Fred Hall" has left the Org.
He also posts between 3:00pm and 5:00pm board time; if you don't want a post cheapened by "Fred's" idiotic "pro-Tower" one liners, wait until about 5:00 - 6:00m boardtime.

Yes, you've got to be at least head window washer (elder) to have that much booze.
