Okay, I'll repeat the question I asked on the other thread: What's the WBTS take on this passage? Is it really Moses and Elijah, resurrected and then killed again at the end of the session? Holograms?

My Work Was Stolen!
by lovelylil inthis is really making me mad.
i write articles about different bible topics.
they are mostly geared to new christians to help them get a better understanding of basic doctrine, christian life, and christianity in the early church.

That pesky little comma!
by Gill ini was thinking about that 'pesky little comma' that the jws have in their nwt.. because of that pesky little mark, jws are able to twist and turn in the wind with their 'soul' doctrine.. did jesus say to the evildoer 'truly i tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.'.
or did he say 'truly i tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.'.
what a difference a little speck can make on a page!.

Just check a concordance. Even the one for the NWT. In every other case where Jesus says "Truly, truly I say to you...", the comma is next. Only for the verse in question does the NWT not have the comma after "you". So who's playing "move the dot"; the WBTS, or mainstream Christianity?

Has anyone gotten a restraining order on elders??
by mzliz inhere's the story,.
been "inactive" for 2.5 years.from that day forward my elder brother, sister and parents have treated me as an apostate, seeing how i told them i didn't believe in their bible or god.
i have been exluded from everything but since getting pregnant, my parents now want to be part of the babies life (just to "save" the child i'm sure, but thats what monitors are for).

There used to be people on here who knew the correct procedure for this sort of thing. Usually a lawyers letter demanding that all further contact be through your lawyer, also threatening the elders that any further harrassment will not be tolerated and that ANY announcement made about you in your absence will be treated as defamatory and redressable in a court of law.
The lawfirm that deals with the Silentlambs cases probably have that kind of letter down pat...

Q. How many JWs does it take to change a light bulb?
A. 103. Volunteers from the congregation spend several months, in lieu of field service, doing the preparation, laying the groundwork for the lightbulb change. Then, over the designated weekend, the press is invited, and Bethel sends out the Building Committee to oversee the changing of the lightbulb in the mere space of a single weekend!
...then a week later the PO quietly removes the bulb after instruction from Bethel that the light is no longer current...

Is there a bird watcher in the house?
by unclebruce inthis evening i went for a walk near the mouth of the bega river, several kilometres from my place.
i enjoyed the peace and took a few photos.. for several years the pelicans here were my concern (keeping an eye on them and occationally capturing them to remove fish hooks and the like.
while there a duck billed mud stinky arrived.

PS: Hey Stephanus, I'm a wombat expert .. if womabts could fly I'd be an expert of marsupial aviation
I used to gold pan along the Shoalhaven River and tributary creeks. Many's the time I've almost crapped my dacks because I mistook one of those monster sized wombats up there for a wild pig (also common in those parts).
Have you dollied any quartz samples from your gold mine to see if there's any of the good stuff left?

Just reading Unc's photo descriptions before the photos downloaded I asked myself: "A spoonbill, maybe? But, surely, not even Unc's that ignorant?" Just how did you get that WIRES posting, Unc?
