We've got drug-dealers, a half-way house, Schizos and taxi-drivers in our neighbourhood. So, no, we don't have any crazy neighbours - it's all very quiet, actually!

Does anyone remember the series of Peanuts cartoons where Snoopy was going to write a book on theology? He dropped his typewriter on Lucy's head when she suggested he'd be no good writing about theology, because he'd be too "dogmatic".
And about the "catastrophe" depicted above, that's old light. Everyone knows that the Watchtower plans to still have plenty in the kitty, even after the big A!

Dr. Who question for British posters
by Insomniac inin the episode i just watched, the doctor was fiddling with rose's cellphone and used the term "jiggery-pokery.
" i'm pretty sure that's what he said.
what does that term mean?

dimensionally transcendent = bigger on the inside than outside. Various Doctors have also used the term "dimensional transcendence" to describe the concept.

...and don't even get me started on the Korat !
Are you sure that's not "Q'ur'at" (with as many 's as possible)?
Lucky you, Stephanus, my cat thinks she's the god-person in the family!!
My cats just think they're both the Pope
I'd believe anything a Maine coon cat tells me.
True, but they take so long to say it.

there were two showings - i got to see the first showing at 1:00.. first let me say that this film is not political in any way.

Labor voters talk about what's best for the country. What is fair for everyone. Liberal voters talk about their job, their morgage.
Have you even met a Liberal voter?

I've heard many things about the US health care system. Our prime minister is working on making ours the same as the US. He believes that would make our health system better and more fair. In other words, enable his mates to get even richer.
How does getting people who can afford it to take up private insurance, thus taking the pressure of the public system, bad?
And how is protecting patents on inventions a bad thing? Patents expire in very short order these days. Companies that have spent hundreds of millions of dollars in getting a drug to market get a small window of opportunity to make a bit of money on that investment. When the patent expires, you see all the generic brands coming out. Lexapro wasn't here fo 5 years before the patent expired. Now I'm on some generic version. I must admit I felt a bit sorry for the company that invented Lexapro - they single handedly changed my life by bringing my bipolar episodes under something akin to control. Now some fly-by-night mob that risked nothing to invent Lexapro can undercut the original firm and still make huge sums of money for basically doing very little.
As for the hero Mark Latham, wasn't he the guy who broke taxi-drivers' arms and journalists' cameras?

On Red Dwarf, the Cat Race wrote their books in smells. You had to have a real nose for what they were trying to get at.
As for cat theology, that's easy: my cat's think I'm a god!

serpent came-a-callin'
by knock knock innawhh, not that serpent.

the snake was trying to get inside of the old railroad tie retaining wall so i could only see the back half.

All native reptiles in Australia are protected species, so we have to at least pretend to take care of snakes, even the poisonous kinds, when they turn up. Usually a call to the Wildlife Rescue Service (WIRES) will have them find a herpetologist in the area to come and catch and relocate the snake. I assume you've got similar organisations in your neck of the woods.

How Would You Approach a JW "studying" in Public Transportation?
by GermanXJW ini get to the office by train.
recently, when i left the train at my destination station i noticed a jw, sitting there, obviously "studying" the "revelation"-book for the night's cbs.
it was too late for my, but i was thinking about saying something like "don't you get it at the third time that this is bullshit?
