I don't get Fox, and I don't know about any Hardballs. I find Jay Leno's monologue to be a highly useful way of finding out what's really going on in the US! We used to have BBC World available which, while extremely lefty, touchy-feely and green, at least displayed a knowledge of world events.

"becoming"?????
I gave up watching CNN years ago because of its sensationalism, its continual leftie political stance and the fact that it had no clue about anything happening outside the US. I trust this latest episode had them all scrambling for their atlases and their encyclopedia...

Indepentant Bible Study w/o WTS!
by sweetone2377 ini've been interested in studying the bible, independant of any wts publications.
but i am at a loss for where to start.

Yes. Any Bible study group you attend will be influenced by the theological leanings of the group. So I would suggest you go to a Christian book shop and get hold of one of the "How to Study the Bible for Yourself" type books, sometimes categorised as "hermeneutics". The authors will still have leanings, but they will hopefully provide you with the tools to do your own study.

UN & Watchtower - the Next Step
by Stephanus ini'm impressed by the number of people who have taken action over the un/wbts revelation and have sought the advice and attention of the un on this issue.
assuming that this is properly investigated and the wbts are given their marching orders by the un, there's still work to be done.
it has been speculated that wbts sought ngo status in order to show hostile govts (eg.

Assuming that this is properly investigated and the WBTS are given their marching orders by the UN, there's still work to be done. It has been speculated that WBTS sought NGO status in order to show hostile govts (eg. France) that they are good global citizens. Therefore, before the ink is even dry on the letter from the UN that the WBTS has had its NGO status withdrawn, we need to notify govts the Tower is trying to suck up to of that fact. Happy hunting!

Hmmm, what is the hypocrisy that is about to come to light? It's unlikely to be anywhere near the top, unless this is a signal of knives being sharpened for a coming power struggle. If that's the case, it's a pity this didn't happen after Franz's death; back then, the internet wasn't the force for exposing every word whispered in secret in Bethel's bedrooms that it is today.
It's more likely to be about the R&F. Perhaps about the YKs and Jabriols who insist on bad association on the 'net, even when they've been told not to.

Undine,
I've seen so many music star conversions to Christianity which eventually come to nothing. Bob Dylan "backslid", Dan Peek (America) disappeared into obscurity. (Oh, and Barry McGuire did the worst thing - he changed over to country music!) I don't see Prince, with his strong-minded and eccentric nature, lasting too long in his new restrictive environment.
