I agree with you all - Christmas itself is a wonderful time of year and a great celebration. It was just the thought of Dubs giving out their literature and pretending that they were being generous that got to me! Remember, these are the people who believe that selling their stuff door to door is more charitable than feeding and clothing the poor!

we went to the mall today, to see santa.
it was great fun.
the kids got shy, at the last minute, and didn't want to go see him, after all, but he came over to talk to them, and said he had a present for them, so they followed him over to his chair, where he gave them some great marker pens.
I'd like to see his face when Princess sat on his lap and told him about the tattoo she wants for Christmas! LOL
Good to see the kids enjoyed themselves. Being scared of Santa is all part of being little, BTW.

i was just musing to myself and wondering if in the history of this happy and sometimes joyous place there has been a uniting of more than minds i.e.

strong gale force winds and storms have been lashing the coast of new south wales for the past two weeks bringing unseasonally cool to cold weather.

what may at first glance seem like a fantasy, the ex-dub island of refuge project is for real.
simply put, several friends on this network have decided to throw their resources together to create a better life for themselves by buying a privately owned tropical island, making a community, developing employment for all, and enjoying great fellowship while living in this aposta fiesta paradise.. a few weeks ago, i started a lighthearted thread entitled,would you like to live on gilligans island?.

the first seder of passover will be celebrated at sundown on wednesday, 27 march, 2002. the society will not celebrate the memorial until sundown, 28 march, 2002. once again they are a whole day off.
