  I've only ever known rissoles as mince meat mixed with various finely chopped and grated vegies, usually carrot and onion, and formed into patties and fried.

  My wife often makes Yorkshire puds to go with roast beef, and sometimes with roast lamb (a more common event here in Oz!) - the boys really like them. It's really a pauper's potato, meant to extend the meat as much as possible by soaking up the gravy.

  Vindaloo is my favourite curry, but it's of Portuguese/Indian origin - it's name is derived from Portuguese and refers to the vinegar and garlic in the curry sauce. I don't mind a Madras curry either.

  just lately i seem to be encountering the occasional jw partaking of a bevvy or two in my local pub.

  so, i was wondering, what would i do if a dub came in for a pint of lunch and then, after noticing me, activated his implanted shun-the-apostate chip?

  actually, i know exactly what i would do, i would tell him to eff off and use a different pub.. so it was, that on tuesday night, around about 9.

  Randy ofr some reason is one of Fred's pet hates. If Fred's around when Randy, Bill Bowen or Lee Elder are posting, expect Fred to be the first cab off the rank with a typical attempt at thread destruction. I don't understand it really - Fred can be compassionate, but hates it when others try to show compassion to the WBTS' victims. Go figure!

  JX's in the Mexican Army!

  one of the many things that totally amazed me when i first read ray franz's first book was the way in which jw's bribed the authorities to get their "pink slip" to say they had completed military service.

  not only that, they were also listed as reservists for the mexican army.. does any one know if those jw's are still listed, and if so, shouldn't they be d?a's by their actions?

  JWs & DF'd ones doing business together

  i recall reading a wt article from the 1980s regarding how dfd and dad ones should be treated.

  a portion of this article dealt with having business dealings with someone who is dfd.

  if i remember correctly, the society encouraged the reader to, if possible, get out of any type of business partnership with someone who is dfd and not to have any business dealings with these ones.

  Booze, the anti-discrimination act in your area would serve you if he refused to do a job for you on the basis of your skin-colour; there may be a religion clause too. I often wonder if it could be addressed by our Trade Practices Act - refusal to supply a competitor carries stiff penalties!
