Microphones - Elders respond to Comments

as i passed through wol site i saw a post on how to handle microphones.

it was a pointless discussion about using cordless vs cord or a boom.

wow ... big stuff.. it reminded me of a few times i ran the mics.

Oh golly gee gosh, how i miss doing the mic's. Only kick i got outa it and doin sound, was that it gave me sumthin to do besides sleep :P.

Bible Discrepencies

in my own personal research in the bible, i have found certain... discrepencies in certain areas... the following are in my opinion, what really happend.... 1. god didnt make woman out of a rib from man.. more than likely, god said "yo adam, man, you look lonely.

In my own personal research in the bible, I have found certain... discrepencies in certain areas... The following are in my opinion, what REALLY happend...

1. God didnt make woman out of a rib from man.. More than likely, God said "Yo Adam, man, you look lonely. I tell ya what lets through a BBQ Party. Ill bring da women, you bring da ribs!"

2. Jesus did not die on a STAKE as so many Dubs believe. In my opinion, this is what likely transpired. After he was done with his whole Eat my flesh Drink my blood stuff, Judas served the main course... In the middle of the meal, Jesus choked on a bone, and keeled over onto his dinner plate which held a ... what? a STEAK!!!

and thats all i have to say about that!

WT policy on funerals and memorials?

can anyone tell me the current policy for funerals and memorial services?.

mom was here today and evening, stayed for dinner, and we talked about the services for henry.

she wants there to be a portion of the service where people in attendance can tell things they want to say about him.

bout 2 years ago i had a good friend who died at 15, he was givin a witness funeral but half his family was "worldly". I dont remember there being a eulogy per se' but there were multiple brothers who got up to speak about him, including his dad and step-dad (Who isnt a dub) if I remember it correctly (Was a rough day for me). Then there was singing and such by some sisters of his favorite kindom song.

shunning apostates children

i was aware when i da'd myself that i would be shunned.

what i didn't expect was how my children would be treated by brothers and sisters.

no phone calls or anything.

So yer kids are to be punished for your beliefs. Can you believe my parents used that excuse on my brother to try and bring him BACK to the meetings??? "We just dont want to see our grandkids destroyed because of what you believe" Yea, thats gonna make someone wanna believe in a god that will destroy kids for sumthing their rents dont believe. If thats how it werks, then if armageddon does come, he'll be just fine because THEY believe in it... Funny mathmatics

No more hiding!!!

well, here is my real picture.. i have decided to stop hiding and show my real face.. i hid behind an artificial facade (data) for a long time, fearful of facing the consequences of deciding that my former beliefs were incorrect.. i made the concrete decision in march of this year that jehovahs witnesses do not have the truth and in fact that they were totally wrong.. however, since i have been inactive for 5 years and i do have some people that i care about still in the organization, i decided that i would not reveal who i was so that i did not lose my friends and family.. however, i have now decided to be who i am and my change in my picture icon represents that change.

the consequences are still the same, and i am likely to lose most if not all of my borg friends, but that is the consequence of my decision.. no more hiding for me .
