  why waste time?

  if everyone here , or nearly everyone here does not believe the jw's then why waste your time going onto these websites.

  when everyone leaves the truth they automaticaly go to jw websites....why?

  if you no longer believe it why waste your time?.

  HBH-

  I have put forth that question to comforter, and many other JW's on this site. They will never admit to "associating" with us. I once even gave a thorough definition of what association is and how they were in fact "associating" with us, but they don't care. But regardless of what they think the elders would view this as wrong or "bad association" so they would never tell anyone in their Kingdom Hall especially an elder. So you might as well give up. Comforter denies that he is associating with us so that his "christian conscience" is good.

  I find your last question weird. Here's my answer. A person can still believe in the Bible and not JW's. They are not the same, even though JW's would like to think so . Actually they feel the Watchtower is more important than the Bible.

  Who says we base all our opinions on professors and scholars? Many of us here still read and believe the Bible, not neccessarily imperfect men.

  Most of us are here as sort of a support group setting. We believe that we were once members of a harmful cult and are now trying to readjust our lives.

  May I ask a question of you though? Why are you here?

  Actually I started a thread similaer to this not too long ago posing the same question. My answer is that I am agnostic. Why? Well isn't being an agnostic all about uncertainty? Well I fit the bill.

  i used to deplore steven speilberg.

  i thought he was a smarmy nothing, who made his way on three good movies...jaws, close encounters, and et.

  Your View On Capital Punishment

  we all know the bible's view on capital punishment.

  in fact, in the 1969 edition of aid to bible understanding, the author notes the following: .

  "the value of life is considered so sacred by god that the blood of a murdered person is viewed by him as defiling the earth and such defilement can be cleansed only by shedding the blood of the murdered.

  I have a comment to make. I DO agree with capital punishment but meany are making the argument that they don't want to support these people for 30 or 40 years on death-row. It is actually more expensive to kill them than keep them alive for a lifetime. This is due to court costs and appeals.
