@blondie, did you have kids to drag around these "hell fest's" called Assemblies? I hope you had joy of finding seats for a family of six, plus adding the old-timers (who did not bathe) in your F-350 Van the other's (Shining examples of joyful elders and elderettes who "were not in a position to help the crazy dubs) had no desire to drive. I know you and your husband probably got stuck dragging plenty of misfits and crazy ones just as I did (Sucks having a conscience don't it?) who cares if driving these crazy members almost caused us to almost divorce, created havoc and hell for our primary responsiblity, but it was all in the name of the Love, something most of the Cult never experienced:)

DOC is there a forumula of how long before the next "re-run" article from twelve to eigthteenmonths is ready to be updated with a few scares, "End Times" "Field Service" add Iron Lung Illustration" importance of Assembly in Nigeria "Bus Accident", the man who walked with one leg "Three hundred Miles in the Gobi Desert to get to a meeting at the top of Nephal?

The Magazines are nothing more than re-runs with filler added like the recent "new lite dressing" from the Annual Meeting. If we reviewed the last forty years of magazines, I bet we could find a running cycle the way "Text Books In College Are Written", a certain percentage of material must be updated but you can still use the bulk of the material. What do you think, are the magazines new and refreshing or Re-Runs?

i was surprised this week by calls from active jws complaining about the new magazine format, and more begging for money from the platform.. frankly i was surprized by this reaction since this is old news to jwn members.

i guess actually shuffling to the bookroom and grabbing the new "awake tracts" minus the inside cover forward ...awakened many sleepy, catatonic, bored jws who never read the things or go on the internet anyway.. any feedback from other areas?.

so, there is a bit of a fight going on in our hall between our pioneer sisters and our magazine servant.

since the new magazines are boxed with two issues together, there is a bit of work to be done separating them.

our magazine servant stacked them on the counter as usual, right out of the box.

ROFLMAO! Are we this typical in each Kingdom Hall? We had "Holy Joe" who forgot to pick the boxes up, left them at home, or in his giant "windowless Van" causing anger and panic with the Piousneers! We are so inept for claiming to be Jehovah's Efficient Organization!

There is one point I am intrigued by reading "In Search Of Christian Freedom" and that is the point Ray Franz noticed that everyone in Christian history figured they were going to have to die. This concept of "not dying, Millions Now Living Will Never Die" is recently new to the last three hundred years. The orgin, I think started when people misinterpreted Jesus Christ's comments that "Some now living will not die until they see the Kingdom of God".

The UK had preachers who taught of the Rapture in the 1700s, we in the United States are new with this dogma of only 190 years or so? You think Miller in 1800s taught the "Rapture" too (2012-1840)?

things have been very good as i leave the organization behind and break off ties with all friends.

i feel bad i don't return their phone calls, emails or lunch invites but i am sick of listening to "if you just come back and be patient on jehovah!

the last two months more elderettes have called my home checking up on me, than "well, let's say forever!

The last two months more elderettes have called my home checking up on me, than "well, let's say forever!"

The topic rolls towards brothers and sisters who are turning away from the "truth" and "apostates". After they mention "apostates" they will ask about me, if and what I am doing to keep myself busy. If I am visiting with known apostates because of my bitterness towards the real "apostates at the Kingdom Hall".

I was studying "Christian Freedom" and showed my other the part where "Elder So-and-So's wife" was baited to help drum up false charges against Ray Franz, and that's what is happening with me now! Each phone call by the little army of elderettes has not been to comfort, offer any Bible "Gospel Messages of peace", only to gossip about who "the next apostate might be!" or "did you hear so-and-so left their husband, wife, turned gay"?

Brothers and Sisters who are undecided, Be Aware Witnesses are using their army of women to "Phish, Fish". I am lucky most of the women who called are dumb as a knot, their agenda was easy to spot and we both are of one accord to tell them nothing now!

they could hardly keep up with all the young guys leaving.

Looking After Widows and Orphans... and Spending One's "Riches"

to the household of god, israel, and those who go with... may you all have peace!.

from time to time the issue of how to fulfill the "form of worship that is acceptable to god," mentioned by james in his letter, namely, looking after widows and orphans "in their tribulation"... comes up.

given the issue of tithing, the plethora of institutionalized charity choices, and the existence of ones in need, perhaps in our own households and families... but certainly in our towns, countries... and around the world... how does one fulfill this requirement?

BOTR: How did we not see this duplicity while drunk with the Grape Flavorade? I was told how Bethel was "the happiest place on Earth" and from stories of former Bethelites I know this was a farce. Reading Franz's book tells me the men are so evil, Ray Franz has no vitriol (had no vitriol) or at least his writings don't read as angry as the "Wash-Towel" and "Akward".

Longhairedgirl: People would ask us in "Field Circus", "how does the Jehovah Witness Religion benefit the community as a whole".

Classic responses were:

1. The members converted are not going to steal, cheat, rob, rape or covet their neighbors goods, that's a great "Community Service, would you not agree?" JWs pull people from the fringes of Society, helping the poor sign up for "Welfare" (I never did that). We supposely helped the mentally ill sign up for "Social Security Disability" ( I am guilty of helping non-JWs sign up for this program, they were hearing voices, seeing things that were not there!).

I know JWs who head to the Food Bank, get Food Stamps (members who worked under-the-table their whole life, had no problems stealing from Ceasar), Social Security Disability while they "Regular Pioneer" which is illegal according to the "litmus test". If somebody is so screwed up they can't sit at a desk or stand up too long, how can they "Regular Pioneer" in good conscience?

Resthomes, there are churches that allow "Youth Groups" to visit Resthomes just to talk without the pressure to "CONVERT OR I WILL LEAVE!", some Christians bring cats, dogs and parrots for the elderly to touch or smile at! That's a area JWs are grossly lacking in, they talk about helping the elderly but Resthomes scare the Hell out of the "Shiney Happy Imposters!"

JWs can produce positive benefits for a community at large only if they disobey the self-appointed "Faithful Slave" who is telling members "not to waste too much time with "time burners" while talking out their other mouth saying "be lke Job's comforters, help widows and orphans, be there for the elderly friends and don't have "class distinctions" while the Faithful Slave (a class distinction) and it's members say they are better than the "rank and file" (non elders).

WallofJerico, I can't imagine any JW complaining their magazines have dropped in size! They could not keep up with their reading previously, nothing but happy lunatics enjoying their "rationed size" spiritual meal!
